Eliza Louisa Grigsby Kemp
Wondering if you are a relative in this Grigsby line, and if so, how are you related?
Louisa is my Great Grand Aunt, and sister to William Henry Grigsby (my Great Grandfather).
I noticed there were many photos added to this line on F-A-G.

RE: Belton, Arkansas
Hi Shirley,
Just found the e-mails with the pictures. I'm going to download them at my daughter's tomorrow evening because my dial-up service is so slow. I think they are going to come through fine. Will let you know as soon as I'm able.
Thanks so much.

RE: Belton, Arkansas
Hi Shirley,
Just wanted to thank you for the information about Merrell Cemetery and Avery's Chapel.

If you ever go back to either one of them would you check to see which one my great-great grandfather is buried in? His name is Daniel B. James and he was born 1830 in Tennessee and died in Hempstead County in 1906.

I wanted to make one more trip back to Arkansas but since my husband had his stroke 10 years ago he isn't able to travel that far.

Thanks again,

Reply to Belton, AR message
To whom it may concern:

I'm sorry but I was unable to answer your e-mail because I couldn't get into the website address to reply. However, I did find Belton in an old encyclopedia and the population was 50.
Actually, the book wasn't that old. We had bought the set in 1954.

Belton, Arkansas
Was Belton, Arkansas considered the location of Avery's Chapel years ago? My great-great grandfather and a lot of his family were listed as buried in Belton, Arkansas at Avery's Chapel. You cannot find Belton in the atlases anywhere.
I wanted to add several more burial records to the site but thought I had better find out if it's the same cemetery.
Thank you,
Janie Hayes
