Thanks so much. After I sent that note to you I discovered that Dessie's grand daughter has been a recent donor to the museum and I feel sure that she will be able to provide images of her Mother, Dessie's daughter. Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. I care for their garments here at the Museum of Texas Tech University and one of Mryl Sawyer Good's gowns will be on exhibit until June 18th. Thank you again
My mother was a niece and had family photos. I'm always excited to find photos of family. I think others might have the same excitement. I'm glad I could add something special to g-aunt Lena's memorial that others can add to their family trees or local history. Thanks for revisiting a memorial you created and noticing the addition.

|Rachel Taylor Carre||Taylor Memorials|
Hi Carolyn -
My name is Rachel Taylor Carre - my father is Rolan Elzo Taylor, mother Debra Taylor. I am the granddaughter of Robert Edward Taylor (#41343959) and Della Ruth Taylor, great granddaughter of Marvin Taylor (#413461006) and Ruby Taylor (#41346132). I would appreciate if you would transfer these memorials over to me (#49222729) so that I can take management and keep them up to date. I recently came across this site while researching my ancestry, I appreciate all you have done here, I am currently working with Claude (Gene) Brooks to learn all I can about my ancestors (he has kept really great records!) Thank you!

Just sent the death cert to your email. Have a close look at it. The headstone on her memorial page here looks fairly modern in comparison to the slab on which it sits. I'm wondering if the death cert is correct. Let me hear from you. No relation, just researching past Lake Arthur residents for documentation purposes. Deb

Thank you so much for the edit. My cousin told me that her Daddy called her that and so did a lot of other people.
|Doug ||My Dad & Your Dad in Band|
My dad played with your dad in the Jimmy Mackey & The Allstars Band! He played the Piano!
Y'all used to come to our house out in the country at Seagraves!
We used to go to y'all's house in Brownfield!
I still remember that Bus your Dad had, I thought it was really neat!
My brother and I use to call y'all the Mackey Girls!
I really enjoyed those days and times with y'all, Seems like a hundred years ago!
I was looking up some of the Bands my dad played in back then and found your dads memorial!
I'm sorry for his and all of your family loses!
My brother passed away, my mom is in a nursing home but my dad is still living by himself and still plays the piano, at the nursing home and senior center!
I just wanted to tell you that I still remember the Mackey Girls and The Band with your Dad & Mine!!
