Hey again,

I have added Anna's maiden name (Thanks!), linked Bessie with her husband, and have asked the administrator of Seymour's memorial to add his mother's link.

When Irving came from Slonim, his name on the manifest was "Isaak". For some reason, lots of Jews took the name Irving or Isidore in the US. Nearly all of them were born Isaac in some variation.

Slonim was part of the Russian Empire from 1793 until 1915, so Anna and Irving were born in "Russia" in one sense. Germany took the town in World War 1, but then Poland got it back after the war. The town's status was disputed between Russia and Poland until March 1921, when Russia gave up its claim by signing the Peace of Riga treaty. Since Irving came in December 1920, and Anna came with Bessie the following September, it may be Irving was never, technically, in Poland.

After World War II, the territory switched back to Soviet control, incorporated in the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic. There it remained until the independence of Belarus in 1991.

I approved your edits for Bessie, and then I changed the birthplace to Belarus, because that is the country of her birth town. I also linked her to her mother, Anna.

I don't suppose you know Anna's maiden name?

RE: William Marion Bristow
Thank you. I will do my best. These Bristows' had such big families and seemed to use the same names over and over! Toni

RE: William Marion Birth State
William Marion Bristow: 101267620 is the memorial number on findagrave; you set this memorial up.

The picture of Mary Kavanaugh was found by doing a family tree search for Mary Kavanaugh on Scroll down to the tree heading "Graves & Mulrey". The member profile name is Mulrey1 on Ancestry. This person seems to have many family pictures.

My husbands lineage is:
Joshua Thompson Bristow, William Marion Bristow, George Washington Bristow,Charles Roscoe Bristow, Jack Clifford Bristow (my husband).

Coline (Toni)Bristow.

Birth State
The 1850 and 1860 census both indicate that William Marion was born in Arkansas.

A picture of his mother, Mary Kavanaugh, has been submitted to That family tree indicates that he was born in Arkansas also. The person with the picture of his mother Mary must have family knowledge of where William Marion was born. I do not, however I accept Arkansas. Food for thought?
