Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love learning about my ancestors and the times and countries in which they lived. My direct lines lead me back to France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

Please leave flowers for fallen graver J. Stephen Brangan, who, along with his wife, took many photos for FAG.

About my photos: I take care not to disturb grave sites, and use only passive techniques to get shots, aside from brushing away some leaves or grasses with my hands. You have my permission to use my volunteer photos in any of your online family trees (such as on ancestry.com, genealogy.com, etc.) All I ask is that you credit me.

Marie (Jones) Akins
I have an inquiry about Marie Akins (#104438522). I have an ancestor named Mary Marie (Jones) Akins. She was born in Harrison Co., Indiana, ca. 1876 to George and Tabitha Jones. Do you have any knowledge about the parents or siblings of the Marie Akins buried in Evergreen Cemetery?

Fun finding stones
Hi Natalie. Just a message to tell you how much I love photographing stones and then finding that there is already a memorial created by you! You and Lulabell have wonderfully complete memorials and it's a pleasure to attach photos to those great mem's. Here's to warmer, sunnier cemetery (as well as to busy, full-of-life) days!

RE: Eunice's obituary
My mother used to spend summers at the family's summer home on the Magothy River when she was a girl. Enice was the same age as my mom. Mom always called her Myrta. She ofter talks about what wonderful times they had there.
I do not think I will tell her about Myrta's passing. She is a bit confused and news like this makes her terribly upset. Thanks for the obit.

RE: Amy Wade Brown
My mother had both an Aunt Amy and a cousin Amy. Cousin Amy must be Eunice's sister. I think there were 4 or 5 girls and 2 brothers. I know both brothers have passed away.
I wrote to my 2nd cousin in California who has an extensive tree on Ancestry. com I want to see if I can get into it again so I can get all my facts straight.

RE: I made a mistake
Amy Wade Brown is my mother's first cousin. Mom is 96 now. However her memory has become quite hazy now and she is no longer a good source of information.
Is Amy still alive?

RE: Eliza Ellen Wade
My mother told me that his mother's family name was Eccles. That is why his middle name was Eccles as was tradition at that time to give the mother's maiden name as a middle name.

As a side note, my first name "Wade" is my mother's maiden name. My sister's son is "Jacob" as her maiden name is Jacobs.

I am trying to remember. The Eccles came to America leaving their first daughter an infant at the time in England.
By the time they sent for her she didn't want to come to a family she didn't know. The Eccles had a son here.
When she came to Baltimore when her Aunt and Uncle moved here. She never reunited with her parents although my mother remembers her brother coming to visit them in Baltimore.
