My husband's great grandmother is Mary Jessie nee Cain Thompson and I just looked at her page here. The photo you placed there is lovely and one I have not seen before. Do you have any other photos of her you could share? Or any of Louise, Mabel or Luther?
Thank you for considering. I'm ever on the trail for more information, but photos are the most precious.

|Barbara VanHaagen||Myrtle Cain Sharp|
Hello, my name is Barbara VanHaagen and Myrtle Cain Sharp is my great grandmother and granddaughter of Opal Sharp.
I have done some research through ancestry.com and family tree.com but would love to know more about this side of my family if you would not mind sharing stories, or any names I might be missing from the tree.
You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Best Regards, Barbara

Thanks so much Bob, for the link to this book! WOW! I skimmed through some of it, and I remember my dad talking about some of these same events that happened in his childhood home. My dad was the youngest brother in this book. I did know that there had been a book written about Aunt Eva, but had never been able to find it...until now; so mystery solved!! Thanks for messaging me and sharing this information. Warm Regards, Connie

I can not add Mary Jessie as a child-That would have to be done by whoever manages her memorial.

Last Sunday at Durant Mr. R. L. Bell of Nida, and Miss Minnie Gross of Caddo and Elisha Overstreet of Nida and Miss Mary Richie of Caddo were united in marriage by Rev. Stubblefield. The young ladies are well known in Caddo and have many friends who wish them every happiness. At the same time Mr. W. L. Bell and Miss Eula May Croft and G. I. Bell and Minnie Overstreet, all of Nida, were also married.

Hi Bob, it has been a while since we last communicated. Every once in a while I poke around some more in family history and lately I've been doing so again amd came across your name. Ancestry.com and this website have been such a big help with the search!
I am still looking for my lost gg grandfather Edward Benjamin Mobley. I'm trying to find out where he ended up. I'm just now starting to realize just how many relatives he had in the Crenshaw County area with the Dobbs, Abernathy's and Cain's and all of their offspring. I'm totally shocked by this and trying to find a few that my parents may remember.
BTW, have you come across anyone who has a photo of Mary Mobley Dobbs, Sarah Mobley Abernathy or Rachel Mobley Cain?
I hope all of your searches have been going well and hope you have a wonderful Christmas & New Year's.
You want to add Albert to Find A Grave and I will add his grave photo? He was buried with Jonnie.

|Crenshaw Moore||RE: America Cain's parents|
Your note was a reminder to add Wm. to America's memorial; she was my paternal great grandmother. Thanks. My Moore/May family members believe Rachel Mobley Cain is buried at Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Crenshaw County, Alabama as she was connected to the church. Bettie (Elizabeth Louisiana) and her son, R D Marler, lived in the Pleasant Home community for a period of time and Rachel was living w/R D, her grandson, prior to her death.

Transferred her memorial to you, Thank you for letting me know about the duplicates, if you find any other relatives, let me know, I'll be more then happy to transfer.
