The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded.
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.

Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for a transfer BUT PLEASE do no ask for a transfer that is not within these guidelines and PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
Putting requests on this site you will be ignored, and erased. Ignorance is not bliss it is just embarrassing for you.

For extended family members you can add
Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL TO SEND CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS. Will gladly add any obits and will add links to family members. "

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.

You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

West Ford River Cemetery
Good morning Barbara. The last three duplicate memorials I still show are 21121784, 21121745 and 21121585. After those are deleted, I am done with WFR until I actually get to the cemetery. I guess the good news is that after these corrections, we went from 27% to 30% photographed. I suspect the reason for the duplicates is that the source document used was from the Delta County Genealogical Society webpage, which lists headstone vs. county records. Thanks for your help in this endeavor.

Thank you for the transfer-I have never seen Findagrave fix a tampering situation so quicky as all the proper photos have been restored from 2011.
I suspect the tamperer has an obsession with my work and had tried to deete other photos. "anonymous" in this case I think is Diehard Jackie wilson goddard or a henchmen.
In any event his tomb photos were restored,

Thank you!
I just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work that you have done to help reunite families. I am new to genealogy and through your work I have found literally dozens of my family (Bussineau).

James Quinn
I just posted three photos of the Quinn family grave in Escanaba and a notice popped up that you had requested a photo related to my great uncle James Quinn B: June 4, 1885 in Wisconsin
D: March 10, 1918 in Escanaba City, Delta, Michigan

Anyway, just to let you know that I have posted three different photos that I took in June 2015 when I visited the Quinns' grave. Nancy A. Carter

West Ford River Cemetery
Would you be so kind as to transfer all memorials that you have from the West Ford River cemetery in Michigan over to me? My parents are here and this cemetery is a disaster. There are duplicate and triplicate memorial with incorrect information that I would like to clean up. I can transfer them back, except direct family members, when the records match. Thank you.
