|I have been doing family research since about 1976. One of the original pleasures of the research was locating and copying pictures of the families, and individuals and graves. I recently discovered Find A Grave and have already gained a lot of enjoyment in discovering graves and their info and pictures via the internet and contributing to the memorials. I have gained far more than I could give.|

You are very welcome. My friend, Charla and I tried to fulfill photo requests on the Find-A-Grave Day, Oct. 18. This is one of the cemeteries we got permission to explore. The cemetery is not in very good condition. I doesn't look like anyone has been there in quite some time. There are numerous grave stones we found, but could not read anything on the stones. There are headers, footers, and broken headstones. Two of the stones appear to have fallen forward and sunk into the dirt. We suspect that if they were turned over, there would be markings on them. The cemetery is located in the middle of a livestock field, with a fence around it. It made us sad to see the cemetery in such bad shape.

Thanks, sir! I would greatly appreciate a transfer. Happy 4th! :)

Thanks for creating the memorial for Jesse Frost in Gail Cemetery. Did you happen to find the stone for his wife, Emilia Ann (Fowler) Frost? She is my fourth great grandmother and I am having a tough time tracking her down. I wouldn't be surprised if she was right there next to him. Thanks!

I was writing to request permission to use the photo of Zana Hobbs's headstone that you posted here; to be for used on my ancestry.com family tree. She is the mother of my uncle, Harold Denson.

Thank you for all your work on Gail Cemetery. I
am needing information on Murvin Swinney's wife
Lola Mae. Is any information available on their
double stone? His number is 60172002

Memorial # 49552332. I question your note & link to #16339551 as spouse. According to Death Certificate # 51708, Amanda Wilkerson was born December 11, 1864 in Milan Co., TX and died November 19, 1946 in Maryneal, Nolan Co., TX and is the daughter of L. D. Monroe & Sara Smith, not the wife of L. D. Monroe. Unknown why stone and death certificate have different birth years.
And, you are correct, a duplicate memorial was made over a year after my original but has not be removed to date.

Thank you for drawing my attention to that. Although I had that info in my database, for some reason I didn't enter it on the memorial. One of my biggest questions about this family is where Ada's husband, William Augustus Bedell, is buried. There are several W.A. Bedells, but this particular one was born abt 1835 and died 17 Mar 1890 in TX. I'm wondering if he is also buried at the Gail Cem. in Borden, perhaps in an unmarked grave.

I'm glad to take the picture for you. Cemetery records said she did not have a marker, but when I checked, there it was! I always try to look for a marker even when none is expected--sometimes I'll find a 70 or 80 year old funeral home marker, still intact and readable!

I have transferred this memorial to you so you can link his parents...Thank you!
