RE: Sarah J Isaacs/Bicknell
Hi Sandy,

Yes that is my best guess as well, that she is the daughter of Linville Isaacs and Elizabeth. I noted in the 1880 Census image, that Martha J and Sarah J, our twins.

I did note on ancestry.com that Sarah Jane Isaacs married Huston Bicknell on December 1888, on the property of Linville Isaacs and one of the witnesses was Curtis Isaacs, listed as a brother on the 1880 Census.

I am making an assumption that she got married at her parents' house, and I add that with the 1900 and 1910 Census that it states Huston and Sarah years married puts it around 1888.

The mystery of where she went after Hallie Bicknell (married name = Richardson) was born in June 1912 is why I'm fascinated by it all. She seems to just disappear. I noted, and I believe you put the entry in for Huston, that his obituary makes mention only of his second wife; which isn't a total surprise given his second wife probably helped write that obituary.

Thank you for the help.
Dustin

Sarah J Isaacs/Bicknell
Hi Sandy,

I'm trying to figure out what happened to Huston Bicknell's first wife. Huston would be my Great-Great-Great Grandfather; with Alson being my Great-Great, and Frances being my Great-Grandmother.

I seem to run into dead-ends everywhere I go about Sarah J. I know she had a child in 1912, Rosa, and by 1918 Huston was remarried, so not sure when she died. Thank you for any assistance.

Dustin

John Cates
I wonder if you can tell me how you know that John's father was Ellis Cates? I tried to find them in the census and got nowhere. My ancestor Charles Cates (1810 TN)married Nancy Willis, whose sister Elizabeth was born in Estill Co KYin 1818. I have been trying every way I can think of o learn more about their parents an wondered if the relationship might go back to Estill Co. They were in Missouri by 1830 and related families include Martin, Rose, Poteet, Gilmore, Harrington and more.

I am trying to find information on Amelia Bicknell b 1816 in Burke Co, NC. She is though to be the daughter of William Bicknell, son of Thomas and Rachel Sparks Bicknell. Would love to find a connection to her and her father.

Would love to share information.

Thanks,

I just want to say thank you for the memorial. He is a cousin who is deep in my family roots. I have him listed in my Hamilton and Lunsford trees. He is connected through the Hollandsworth family tree. My maternal GMA was Anna Mae Hollandsworth. She was the wife of Leander Hollandsworth. My trees are posted on ancestry.com and rootsweb.com and I have more family info. if you wish to add to what you have done.

Levi Richardson's father
On Levi Richardson's memorial you have listed his father as James Richardson. This is incorrect, his parents were John P. Richardson, born Apr. 17,1818, Clark Co. Kentucky, died in 1892, Estill Co., KY. and Nancy Freeman born abt. 1823, Estill Co., KY, date of death is unknown. Levi Richardson was my grandfather. Would you please make the corrections to his memorial. Thank you. Norma Kruger

re: Kinner Family
My great Uncle gave me a old bible with the marriage of Hezekiah Kinner (July 3 1828-Nov 25 1907) and Samantha Sidwell Kinner (June 23 1845- March 21 1926 )in Ohio in it. Hezikiah and Samantha had three chidren Jessie Lee (1869-1919), Addie, (1871-1933) and John Wesley (1873-1964).His father was born in 1803 John Kinner. His mother was Catherine Vandemont. Samantha Sidwell Kinners father was John Sidwell!1809-1901 and her mother was Melvina Cutter (1817-1905).One of Hezikiahs sons John Wesley Kinner (1873-1964) had a son Edgar Kinner Dec 29,1903-1995 was my great uncle. Johns other son Robert born 1898 was my grandfather. Robert lived in Florida til he died and Edgar lived in Wisconsin til he died. Edgar had no children. Robert had 3 children Lloyd, Wesley and Doris who was my mother. If anyone has any information on the Kinners or the Sidwells before 1800 thats as far back as I can track. Hope this info helps some of you.
