I have been researching my ancestors since 2005 and joined Find-A-Grave in June 2012. Studying my family history is a very interesting hobby! Although I live overseas, whenever I visit the USA I enjoy visiting cemeteries and taking pictures of grave markers & tombstones of my ancestors & their extended families. Most of my ancestors lived in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia. I found that I have some information and pictures of graves that have not been posted yet. So, I decided to join Find-A-Grave and share what I can. -- And, I'd love to meet some 'living relatives' in the process. =) |

I have found the graves and stones for this couple. However, they are grown over with grass and clippings. I hope to return soon to trim around the foot stones to take picture.

You're welcome, Heather. The gravestone was not difficult to find. Regards from Bulldog Fan

Not that I could find a record of in the book I was using. I will double check when I get back to town. I took pictures of all the marked stones there. There were only three as I remember, I will find a contact with the city when I get back because they actually manage the cemetery and see if they have a better record than I was using.

Ms. Rehn: Are you seeking a photograph of this Mr. Sullivan at Owl Rock Methodist Church? I've walked through that cemetery a few times as that I work but about two miles from there.
Send me a message and let me know what you need. I may be able to get over there and snap a couple photographs. Its a small cemetery, and certainly an old one.

I searched the entire cemetery, photographing each stone and monument and could not locate a marker bearing Carrie's name, however it is reasonable to think that she is resting to the left of her husband as shown in this photograph in an unmarked grave beneath a weathered slab.
I wish this could be the craved in stone marker you were seeking. If you would like the photo removed I would be happy to do so, for you. Happy hunting... Bren

Oh..It is High Shoals Cemetery

Well, my baby brother , grandmom and grandpop are buried at this churchyard. I found their ID numbers on line , however I do not have any grave pictures. Of special interest is my baby brother. My father told me how he was carelessly handled by my mother's doctor back in 1944 . The doctor literally broke the baby's neck. He died. My mother was distraught to say the least. She was a nurse and my father said she was adamant in never having children again. Well, 4 years later , my brother was born, 11 years later ..ME! So my baby brother is Infant Riggio. Oct 7 1944. I have a very old black and white photo of his grave. It had a cement lamb on it. Curious what it looks like today. Can you be of any help for a picture?
Thanks so much !
