This is just another way that working together we can accomplish a great deal in documenting the history of many. Thanks to many of you who have sent edits to correct information I've entered, and those who have sent more complete information making the memorial more accurate. Also, thanks to all of your who so quickly process the edits I've submitted. Each piece of documentation we add just makes the Memorial more meaningful.|
Special thanks to a number of people who have contributed a great deal of information and/or pictures that I've posted to memorials in Wisconsin; Kentucky; and Ron and Ann Miller: Hillside Cemetery, North Loup, Valley, Nebraska. I requested and was given permission by Ron and Ann to add specific pictures from their Gallery.
Whenever I visit graves online, I like to leave a flower so that friends and family of the deceased will know that their loved one was thought of that day. Most of these people are not related to me in any way.
Begins as an interest
Becomes a hobby
Continues as an avocation
Takes over as an obsession
and in its last stage
is an incurable disease

Thanks for getting back! I sent you a message regarding my great aunt Lois Doughty. Goldie Bradley is listed as her sibling. That part is incorrect. Her sister is Goldia Miller, who is still living at age 104. Hope that clears it up!

You're very welcome.

Thank you Twila, we aren't able to go take many photographs anymore. We decided if we ever got where we couldn't clean the stones and take good quality photographs we would stop. Due to several different issues, right now we only take photos by personal request. We have posted several photos of stones that had photos that weren't easy to read but I don't know which ones. Thanks for the complement. We miss it but just had to stop for a while.

Hello Twila ~
Thank you for bringing this error to my attention. I guess a Find A Grave member sent an "Edit" requested to link Robert Ray to his wife, Opal but put the memorial number in the wrong place.
I usually will just take the word of anyone who sends me an "Edit" because its too much work having to research before approving the hundreds of "Edits" I get in a week.
Thank you again!

My information is only what appears on the gravestone--I have not done any additional research except to look for family links. When I began my efforts in 2013 to photograph every stone in this cemetery, most of the graves had been entered by two other contributors who appeared to have used newspaper files, earlier transcripts, library resources, and perhaps cemetery records as sources. The graves I have entered are only those that had stones but did not already have memorials. Good luck with your research--there are lots of old records out there but they are not always accurately transcribed.

Hello! Are you open to transferring management of this memorial? Frank is my grandfather and, if you are willing, I would like to manage his memorial. Thank you so much for adding him!
Twila - thanks for the b & d info. I have put it on the memorial (with a documentation of source and thanks to you) and will also add it to my family tree. I wouldn't have thought of looking in Indiana for the death certificate.
