Bio and Links
Bio Photo We lived in Dallas, Texas, but May 2011 moved to Huron, Ohio. Have three children and eight grandchildren. As of November 2013 the oldest is 24 and the youngest is four years old. Six of these are boys and two are girls. Being a grandparent is the best.

Really enjoy doing genealogy and finding long lost relatives, both living and dead. I have a huge database of "cousins."

I am researching Sanders, Martin, Cacy/Casey, Jump, Eidson, Schooley, Williams, Mimms/Mims, Arnold, Eblen, Sorrels/Sorrells, Friend, Bean, Pettet, Henthorn, and many more. All of whom I owe for making me who I am today.

And the Beebe and Edberg lines: Weis, Biggs, Kear, Zollinger, Stewart, Smith (Schmidt), Meier, Clark, Gilliland, Hale, Magnusson, Pettersson and many more.

Sarah (Friend) Wilson
I was just at Casner-Wilson cemetery yesterday. It was hard to find and pretty difficult to reach. There is a lot of bramble covering the entire cemetery (which is very small). My friend and I were determining the boundaries of the family cemetery when I found at one corner, William Wilson's headstone. It was buried & broken, but still very legible. I'm hoping to return before Spring to see if Sarah's stone (& any others) can be found. Back in the '70s, Sarah and William Wilson's stones were visually confirmed and put on a roster that can be found in Caldwell's genealogy annex.

If you were to move your photo request to Sarah's memorial in Casner-Wilson, somebody may find it before me.

Leafy Rose - Glendale
Hi Connie,

I went ahead and uploaded a plot photo. I'm finishing up my vacation by trying to get all the Glendale photo requests cleaned up. Lots of them were unmarked graves, but at least with this one, we have a plot and other Rose graves.

RE: Leafy Rose - Glendale
You know what - I had them confused. Leafy was the wife of Ira and the mother of Lucius. Lucius' wife was the one missing from the memorial stone. Leafy is just plain missing.... :'-(

Leafy Rose - Glendale
Hi Connie,

You have an outstanding photo request at Glendale in Akron, Ohio, for Leafy Rose. There is a marker for her husband and under his name is an empty space, then a listing below that for their child, saying 'our daughter'. It is obvious that Leafy's name was supposed to be engraved in the empty space, but never was. Would you like me to go ahead and add the photo of her husband's marker with an explanation in the caption? That way one of the outstanding requests for the cemetery can be cleared.

Thanks,

Zella

RE: John Henry Jump Sr.
You are very welcome. I was thrilled to receive this this morning because as far as I knew it was buried in heavy brush on the original Jump property above the bridge over the river.

This indicates maybe the cemetery was on the lower portion of the Jump land which floods so the stone washed out and up on the bank. It's surprising what great shape it is in for as old as it is.

How are you related to John? He is my 3rd great grandfather.

Earle Burkart
Connie,
There is a Merle buried next to him. Possibly is his wife. I found her obit, no survivors and she died a couple days short of her 100th birthday.
I will take another picture of that large Burkhart stone, when I get over to that area. I noticed the pic has a couple spots on it.

Sorry about the photo. I took another one with the plants pushed away a bit. I hope this one gives you the information you need.
