Living in Southwest Virginia after retiring as a Critical Care nurse. Always loved genealogy and now incorporating it with history and involved with Find A Grave.|
I follow Find A Grave guideline and if you want me to transfer a memorial to you, it should be a DIRECT relative within four generations. ( FAG says: This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.) Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management.
Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. FAG's goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it.
Please contact me if you would like something added that you can't add. I believe flowers should be for someone you know not to decorate a page.
Feel free to use any of my photos without giving me any credit. I am dedicated to preserving our passed loved ones and linking families.
May I add a death certificate to a person's memorial page?
Death certificates may be added via the "Add a photo" button on the memorial page. Please select the option for "Other" in the "Type of photo:" to be added, as it is not a Grave, Person or Family photograph. NOTE: Death certificates do not necessarily contain completely accurate information about the deceased. There are often errors regarding the final burial location (as well as other data).
Feel free to post the death certificates on any of mine but according to FAG regs, cut off all the excess. These certificates let us know the dates and families even if we can't find them right away.

What a small world, Susan Francis Griffin was my 1st cousin 3x's removed, My 2nd Great Grandmother was Martha Ellen Griffin-Shupe. I'm trying to get past her father but no luck so far.
I joined just so I could thank you for helping me find the graves of my maternal grandparents, Joseph Eldridge and Nannie Coomer Eldridge.
I only met them twice as I was born and raised in Michigan. I learned a lot about them through your work.

Did you find an actual headstone? I ask because a person named Liz Whittaker posted this on the Mullins Genealogy website:
I just found the following on Tribal Pages. BOLLING, Pricy Judy, Born 1832 in , Russell Co.,VA USA, Died Jul 25 1890 in , Wise Co, VA. USA.
This is actually Juda Pricy Bolling (Bowling, etc spelling) and she was buried in Elkhorn City, KY.
I can't find her in the EKC cemetery yet her birth certificate says EKC Cemetery.
Does anyone know if there are two EKC cemeteries in that area?
I have no idea what she means by "Tribal Pages" but saw your Find A Grave posting and thought I'd ask for her.
Web site: (thru FB)
By the way, thank you for all you do. I use Find A Grave for research and always appreciate the hidden angels like you.

Many thanks. The caretaker and I are endeavoring to be as accurate as possible. If you have dates, links to add to other family members in OKP, would love it. Val

First, I want to thank you for ALL of your contributions to the Find A Grave community. It is very helpful to so many of us. You have recorded a lot of good information about the Gilley family and I would like to ask if you will share with me the list of children you have for John Gilley and Mary Barger? There are several lists around that seem to have from nine to 12 or so names. If convenient, I would appreciate hearing from you directly at my email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. I'm doing this for my sister-in-law who is a Gilley.

You're welcome! if you plan to visit the graves at Lakeview Cemetery they are not too hard to find. Just go through the gate and continue straight to the flagpole. The Fields plot stone is back in that area along with 3 markers in the ground for Benjamin, Cora, and their son Lewis.

According to my records, Andrew Jackson Lawson [Find A Grave Memorial# 161636052] was probably buried in Riverside Cemetery with his son by the first marriage. See the death certificate on the memorial page.
See second Wife's Memorial Find A Grave Memorial# 50265152
I show the first wife, Amanda Jane Collins (1873-1910) had at least four sons.

Gale Parrott Lawson (22 Mar 1898-3 Apr 1993)

I love the work you have done for Juda Pricy Mullins at the Elkhorn City, KY cemetery. I have been in that cemetery many times and never knew she was buried there. So thank you. I was just wondering if you are related. She is my gg-grandmother through this lineage: Juda >, Son Eli Mullins>, his daughter Nancy Jane Mullins>, her son Creed Hawkins.
