|Morrisa Humbert||Cynthia Sailor|
Am researching for purpose of joining the DAR.
My problem is connecting Cynthia to Samuel Sailor her father. He married in 1810. I can't really read the tome stone on find a Grave. She would have to
been born after that. Just wondering if you would know exactly what her stone says. Thanks.
|Anna Herrera||Questions as to how find a grave works|
Nancy not sure if you remember me as you do not have to but I have a question to ask you if you don't mind. You have been very helpful to me in the past with finding several of my family burial plots and also the taking of pictures. One of my questions is. Earlier this year in Jan I entered a memorial on find a grave. It was for Elmer Lloyd Mercer. His memorial # is 175019163. He is husband to my 2nd cousin. I think I made the mistake of as soon as I entered him I requested a photo and I think that request was too soon to ask. Do you know how to remove that request so maybe I can enter again? He is buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Licking, Ohio. My other question is I entered about 5 family with the wife on find a grave. The cemetery for this family is in CA. Strange about this family is that they went through a name change. I have not heard from ancestry.com if they received my entry into find a grave. I think that maybe it has something to do with the names. I did not know they changed there surname until about 4 or 5 years ago. As far as I can tell the change may not have been done legally or in a court but do not know. Would you be able to help me or do you know who to contact with find a grave if I need to ask more about this family. I hope I am not confusing you. Thank you, Anna
Have you seen any references for a Richard Birmingham in your work with the Pennsylvania/Newark Birminghamís.
I have researching the Birmingham Family. My reason to write you is your management of the Find A Grave website for the Pennsylvania/Newark Birminghamís. I was hoping you might have some information that could connect the Birmingham from Newark, Ohio to my ancestors Richard and Mary Ellen Mulcahy Birmingham from Portsmouth, Ohio. They settled in Portsmouth in about 1868, probably because Mary Ellenís brother Patrick was already living there. Since other of my ancestors are from Newark, including my grandfather Charles Dase, I thought there might be a connection. Possibly even that Thomas Birmingham ((1840-1921) Find A Grave Memorial # 34278122) was Richardís brother. I have not been able to find any records of where in Ireland Richard and Mary Ellen came from.

I am here at Greenwood. Whenever you need me, just call. I am not able to get out every day to take pictures, but I will be happy to help in any way I can.

I try. . . .please let me know of any updates or questions on Greenwood and Woodlawn Cemeteries in Zanesville OH. I am the secretary there and I try to make sure that interments are in the computer with their locations. Sometimes I'm successful and other times, I'm not. :) I think that's just the way it goes. Thank goodness that all of the findagrave volunteers I know are easy to work with and willing to help.

Here's a link to what looks like a new article with lots of photos (!): http://www.scoutingny.com/the-145-year-old-nyc-gas-station-that-started-out-as-a-blacksmith-shop/. Alternately, Google "Farrington, bayside, NY"
I wanted to ask you, too, if any of your Farringtins are from New York. My great-grandmother Hannah Knight had a sister , Rachel, who married a William Farringtin from New York (Jamaica, I believe). She died shortly thereafter, possibly in childbirth, but apparently the child survived and William remarried. The family owned a blacksmith shop, and later a gas station, which still bears their name.

Took care of the updates. If you find you're related to any folks of my memorials, request a transfer. I like to see them go to family.
