Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Thanks for adding the photo to Jerry's memorial.
I think it's a shame that Find A Grave doesn't notify the manager when a photo is added; because Jerry was a friend of mine I was pleased to accidentally discover the photo you added.

Hello Ms Clark,
My Name is Steven Miller. I am the eldest grandson of Eli. I noticed my aunt Ella is not listed in the internments for the Martinsburg Amish Cemetery which I find odd as she was the very first person to be buried there. Also my grandmother is buried there now and her findagrave memorial number is 109015797.
If you would transfer Grandpa's memorial to me, I would be very honored. Thank you kindly.
Steven R. Miller

I was looking at memorials and see that you added Charles Roberson #120659368. Are you related to the Roberson clan?

Hello Debe. I am looking to find information on my Grandfather, John Thomas Baumgartner, who is the Husband of my Grandmother Margaret Kline Baumgartner. I am at a dead end. Any thoughts?
|Sheryl ||RE: Re: Theophilus Downs|
Thanks so much for the transfer! I believe the Theophilus you found on the 1850 may be a son of the T. D. buried in Amity. A Theophilus Downs was listed with the heirs in the probate papers, residence Knox Co. in 1855/1856.

Wesley Fouts Miller would be my great grandfather, you included his obituary which revealed new info for me. Are you by chance, related?
Regardless thank you for the pictures and the info.
Thank you so much for the photos for Barbara Robeson Huff. Quite a challenge given the legibility of the headstone. But great photos!
