My husband is so understanding as we do our genealogy, plus stopping at cemeteries to fulfill photo requests for other people.|
If you find any errors, want additional information or an obituary added, please send it through the edit tab on the memorial and I will revise &/or add the information. Since many volunteers create memorials that aren't relatives, it makes it much easier if we don't have to go "hunting" for the memorial you are referring to.
IF YOU REQUEST A TRANSFER, BE SURE YOU ARE COMMITTED TO A LIFETIME OF MAINTAINING THE MEMORIAL. UNFORTUNATELY A FEW OF MY OLDER TRANSFERS ARE MAINTAINED BY CONTRIBUTORS WHO NO LONGER RESPOND.
EDITS SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE THE SOURCE.
A BIG thank you to all of the fellow findagravers that add my suggestions, and, especially, the obits so that many individuals can benefit from them on their search.
Please consider any pictures that I have taken as yours...I am the messenger and believe that they belong to the family.
What kind of photos may be added to a memorial page?
You may add a grave photo of the headstone or a portrait photo containing the memorialized. Do not add photos of the cemetery gate to the memorial but instead add them to the cemetery's page. If a cemetery photo has been designated by admin to serve as the default photo to appear on individual memorial pages in that cemetery, it will appear automatically. Not all cemeteries have a default photo designated. There is a limit of 5 photos for non-famous memorials that have not been sponsored. Sponsored memorials may have up to 20 photos. Any contributor can upload an appropriate photo to any memorial regardless of who manages the page. No permission from the memorial manager is needed. However, if there is already a photo of the headstone, do not add a second similar photo unless the original is of poor quality and the new photo is dramatically better. This leaves room for photos of the deceased within the five-photo limit on unsponsored memorials. Please note that it is not appropriate to delete a page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created just because you don't like a photo that someone else has added. If the photo is an appropriate addition to the memorial, it will be allowed to remain.
****If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain the records please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and willing to take over the records. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help reduce duplicates. It would also be a good idea to leave someone instructions on how to do make these transfers should you go inactive without warning.***** Thank You
My philosophy; "No One Should Be Forgotten".

Please update the death information of this memorial to: Floris, Davis County, Iowa, USA. I have a pending request also for this change. Please approve.
Do you have a dependent (someway) of Fred Duey of Chester, Nebraska?
|Merry Fetterolf||RE: Clara E. Mater Memorial # 131826817|
It was the wrong Clara. Sorry about that. I did add more pictures of your family headstones. Do a search of your surname in the prospect search engine. Enjoy. This cemetery has been vandalized and alot of headstones are flipped face down. Also I will transfer ownership of these pages to you. Send me a request.

Thank you so much for sending the Nelson obit for my dad! I have added it to his memorial page, and given you credit.
|Bill Macy||Pleasant Hill Cemetery|
Hi Peggy - Got five of your six photo requests at Pleasant Hill yesterday but could not find Franklin Stringham. Sorry. Do you happen to have a plot map of the cemetery? If I had one I could check again when I pass by there. It would also help me in trying to locate a burial I am searching for there. Walked it twice but no luck. Thanks. Bill.
|Michelle McClelland (nee Little)||RE: Peter Burkett Memorial # 20145617|
Hi Peggy, I do not have an obit. I am on Ancestry and you can see my research here to confirm: http://person.ancestry.com/tree/34647239/person/250066757874/facts
Peter was the son of Abraham Burkett and Rosannah Copenhaver. He appears with them on census records from 1850-1870 in Chatham Hill, Smyth, Virginia. (Our family is from this county) He married Jessie Alice Berrier in 1880 and is found on census records from Nuckolls County Nebraska from that point until his death and burial in 1927.
Please feel free to confirm in census records. I hope this helps.
I have been going through my memorials and finding all the 'wonderful' work you have been doing for all of us. The death certificates etc. that you had attached to the memorials is so helpful .... 'linking' has enabled me to put my families together... Just wanted to let you know that I 'recognize' your efforts and 'applaud' you loudly 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
