I love History. Everyone has a History and a Legacy no matter how small or how big it's still important. We're not just born and then we die, our lives have stories. I would like to make some contributions here and start by getting my families photo's and stories up! Thanks for the opportunity to help out and God bless you and please have Faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!|

Noticed the name was picked up wrong. I was named for her but my sisters wanted me to be named Carolyn instead of Caroline. My father's name was for his grandfather Jourdan Welsh but he could pronouce it correctly and was spelled like he said it.
|Carolyn Gifford||Dora Carolyn McGee Davenport Johnson|
Aunt "Dode" was one of three daughters born to John Welch McGee and Clearcie Eveline Welch McGee. You have the name misspelled and the order is wrong. I attended Uncle Oscar's funeral in Iowa Park. I am the family researcher historian and did a self published book on family. As a teenager I visted the Johnsons at their home on the State line of Texas and New Mexico. Dora's brothers were Rocky zRoscoe, John Harvey, Tony Eugene, Framon Jourdaunt× dad, Robert Patrick and John Welch Jr. Her sisters were: Clora Mae "Clode" m Abernethy.and Mary Elizabeth m Koenig. We called her Dude.

Thank you so much for the Obit for Thomas Corridon, Jr. He is my grandmother's cousin. His mother Margaret is my 3xg-grandmother.
I appreciate you sending me this.
I am related through Margaret daughter, Mary Ann "Mollie" Thompson Alcorn Walling Hartline who lived in Elk City and came to stay with Margaret for a time in Iowa Park. My grandmother remembered visiting her g-grandmother and for years before she passed went looking trying to find the hotel. Several times she looked in Iowa Park, but couldn't find the right location; however, she knew right where they were buried in Highland Cemetery.
She told my aunt that lives in Henrietta about "Uncle" Tom who sang himself into jail and sang himself out of jail. About a month after my grandmother's death, an article came out in the Wichita Falls Newspaper about "Uncle Tom Corridon" and the actual story. My aunt asked me to see what I could find, and that is how I found this side of my family.
Again thank you so much.

Thanks for the transfer...I will try to be worthy, and hope you get back in sorts quickly.
|Allan Garner||Sarah "Sadie" Lavonia Garner Birdwell|
Just wondered if you had found time to review my proposed changes and links to my aunt, "Sadie" Garner Birdwell, as adding her maiden name.
I also proposed links to her parents, James Sturgeon and Sarah Irene Garner,# 10387655 and # 10387636.
There were some other proposed additions, such as place of birth, and a photo was added of her as a young women.
Thank you for his obituary. I've added it to his memorial.
