|Glenda Rowland||RE: William Trammell|
Thank you. I also transferred his wife to her.
|Glenda Rowland||William Trammell|
I received your message regarding William Trammell, "Please delete this Memorial. This is a duplicate. A Memorial established, # 179173259, William Lewis "Dub" Trammell, contains additional information that better describes his information."
Considering that I had created the memorial 7 years ago versus 10 days ago, I don't feel like mine is the duplicate. Plus the information about the birth and death place were wrong on her memorial. Mine had been linked to his parents, both of his children were linked to mine and I had added a picture of the grave marker.
I have sent a message to the new contributor explaining that I will transfer my memorial to her but she will need to delete hers. She can add the picture to the one I had created.
You may have had good intentions wanting me to delete my memorial but I don't feel like I should. The proper thing to do would be for her to delete hers and she could have asked me to transfer. Actually she should have never created one and just asked me to transfer mine to her and we would not be having this discussion.

He is number 32 in photo. If you click on the picture it gives a list of all identified in it.
*Also I have another photo from 1913 reunion of the front page of the Old Milton County Paper. If you would like it you can download from David William DeVore memorial in Providence Cemetery, Alpharetta.

|Trapper John||Harvey John of Ellis Co., TX|
Thank you for your input concerning Harvey John. My great grandfather, Francis Marion John, Sr., #24920335, was a brother to William John, #19447575, who was Harvey John's father.
Harvey John and Ida Manning were married on 17 May 1891 in Ellis Co., TX. Marital problems must have existed between them prior to the 1900 since they were living separately when that census was taken.
Ida John is listed as Ida Johns in the 1900 Ellis Co., TX, census. Ernest, Lula [should be Lillian], and Henry are with her. They are at the same dwelling as Charles and Henrietta Manning who are Ida's "adoptive" parents. I don't think they formally adopted Ida and her brother, Eddy. In the 1880 Ellis Co., TX, census, Eddy Miller, adopted son, and Ida Miller, adopted daughter, are listed in the household of C. Columbus and Henrietta Manning. Ida must have taken the surname of Manning along the way.
Harvey and Ida John were divorced on 24 May 1901 in Ellis Co., TX. Harvey was awarded custody of Earnest John, Lillian John, and Henry John. Then on 26 Dec 1901, custody of Lillian John was granted to Ida John and custody of Earnest John and Henry John was granted to Harvey John with visitation rights granted to all parties.
By 1910 Ernest John lived with his sister and family, Walter B. and Clementine Hale in Taylor Co., TX. Lillian John was married to Otto Nauert, and they lived in Johnson Co., TX, in 1910. Henry Johns (sic) and his father, Harvey Johns (sic), lived in Ellis Co., TX, with Harvey's mother, Nancy L. Johns (sic). It's hard to keep people from adding an "s" onto the surname John.

Thank you for the information about Harvey's occupation. Do you know the name of the store where he worked? I have searched and searched for Harvey's mother's death record, but so far I haven't been successful.

|Sallie Cox||Ida Buckhannon/Mineral Springs Methodist Church, Clay County, Alabama|
I just discovered that I am connected to this lady -- her son Taft Wilburn Buckhannon, married Mary Mozelle Campbell in Clay County. Mary Mozelle and I have common Campbell ancestors a couple of generations up. I remembered the Buckhannon name from our earlier contact and was able to connect through some census records. Small world ...
