Caryn...don't panic if all the changes you sent me at Cedar Grove come back as "No change"..my computer shut down unexpectedly just before I finished making all the changes, and the Find A Grave screen came back up as "No change" for 30-something edits. I did make all the edits, and appreciate your efforts at Cedar Grove; it is one cemetery I just haven't had the time to research.
I was searching on my ancestor, Lot Besse, and came across the Find A Grave link, which brought me to your photo of his headstone.
Am I to surmise we have a common ancestor? I found other ancestry 'hints' on this line, and finally found the parents of Lot, who were Lot Besse and Sally Delano! Mystery I've been wondering about solved by accident, as to where the "Delano" name came into the family line as a middle name!
Your photo is a great thing to see, and it's too bad there isn't better upkeep at the cemetery, so the middle line could be read.
I see several common lines we share on the Mayflower descendants, as well; including John Howland, on whom I blame my 'klutz' gene. ;-) (He fell overboard at one point.) Actually, we come down from his brother, Zoeth, but hey--stuff like that runs in families, right? ;-)
If we also share the BESSE line, it would be interesting to track, if not, I wonder if you would transfer that memorial to me? (Member ##48335950). If it is also in your ancestry, that's fine; I can just as easily add it to my listing of virtuals.

Family rumor is that George W. Wilcox was killed in the hurricane of 1938 when the marquee of the Oriental Theater in Mattapan, MA fell on him - killing him. I have not found any death certificate. My mother and her cousin have been told this story. Can anyone provide any info?

Thank you for your post. George was my great-grandfather and I have had difficulty in locating him and his wife Jennie (Scrivens). You may be interested in the grave I found in So. Walpole MA at the Terrace Hill Cemetary - it is the grave of Jennie Scrivens' father John who died in 1881 (age 25) and his parents Thomas Scrivens (age 102) and his wife Jane (Pagington) age (79/80).

just want to say thank you for the care and details you have added to your memorials. Your research will be and info within bios will be valuable for generations to come.

Thank you for your edits to the Mayflower cemetery memorials. -Zoe
Are you family? Do you know who "took Care" of Marcia Jackson Gates when her mother died?

Would you please copy and add, or permit me to copy and add, your photo of the master cemetery monument at 25328469 to 177730300? It takes too long for Find-a-Grave to act on a "please allow cemetery photo to be displayed" request.

Check the pic out, the download is very slow, wondered if the size was too big. :)
