I started at a young age with the interest for the dead. This photo was taken in about 1957 at the Aztec Ruins in New Mexico. I am on the left and my cousin Diane Quinn on the right.|
Researching my family history is one of the most important goals in my life. I feel we should all know as much about our ancestors as possible. Through my research I have been able to spend quality time with my sister, Sandra Bertram MEIER. Researching has brought lots of people into my life I would never have met otherwise. Let's all keep up the good work.
I have just come across my pictures on Ancestry.com that someone has used as their own. There is no mention of where the picture came from. This is ashame. For all of you that tramp through knee high grass, work in the hot Texas sun, and in the cold north wind, use your own gas and then try to find a tree big enough when nature calls, you know what I am talking about. Please if you want to use my pictures or anyone elses please have the decency to ask before posting and give credit where credit is due.
PLEASE NOTE - VERY IMPORTANT:

Since I am getting so many requests for transfers I have started using the findagrave guidelines for transfer. You do not need to own an ancestors memorial page to have a great memorial. I update them each day and will add to a memorial. Just use the edit button on the top right hand of the memorial to be edited.
New Editing Function
"FindaGrave has added a new editing function to all members. Check the 'Edit' tab on your profile page for pending edit requests for your memorials."
You currently have one or more such edit requests on your profile page. Most edit requests are no longer sent from FindaGrave with an email notice to the memorial creator/current manager. You have to go to your profile page and check the Edit tab to see the requests for additions or changes to your memorials.
Please check your profile page so that the requested edits can be processed. FindaGrave has made this change to facilitate rapid handling of multiple edit requests.

Janet, I do not know the first name of Mr. Walling. I am hoping that since you have added in the bio the clarification of her legal last name, someone else will know the answer to the question.

I noticed that his tombstone reads 6 Jul 1888 as death date, not June.

Thank you for posting the memorial for Festus Henry. I was able to locate the location of his death and burial from the memorial.

Thanks Janet. I already found a couple more.

Hi Janet -
I would like your permission to use the headstone photos in my family tree in Ancestry.com of the two above listed in the Tow Cemetery. Matilda (Morgan)Miller was my 1st cousin (4x). Of course I'll give you the credit for taking the photos. I'll also have a few edits coming your way via the edit routine.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Janet, sorry to keep bothering you about my uncle Maxey. I was wondering if you are also related to him, and how. In my searches I have met many cousins, just wondering if you are also a cousin? Charla

She is my 1st cousin 6x removed. May I use her gravestone photo in my Family Tree? I will gladly give you credit. Thank you so much. Happy Thanksgiving! Terry

I see you have photo requests for multiple people open at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, Texas. If you would call them (info is on the memorial) and get the plot information for each one, I will get the photo. My family is buried there and I visit quite often as I live close.
I will need to know which area it is in. It's not a huge cemetery but I need to know which point it's closest to (flag pole, seasons statue, mausoleum, etc.) and if it's a standing marker or flat.
