Bio Photo Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

"Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."
~Jim Tipton, creator of Find A Grave.

Families we are researching: Buckmaster, Patterson, Wollam, variations of Teatsorth, Falk/Faulk/Falck, Johnson, Lee, Collier, Eschbarger, Orr, Brinton, Thomas, Grau, Hyde, Case, variations of Brandeberry, Richcrick (Reichenbach), Slote, Balken, Ulmstead, Flower, Dick, Graham, Hyatt, and many others.

Also a focus on our American veterans. We have virtual cemeteries for the 31st and 49th Ohio Infantry who fought during the American Civil War, and one for each war the Buckmasters have fought in.

My dad was a close friend of Larry Buckmaster of Wichita. His parents were Charles M. and Eva (Nichols?) Buckmaster. Charles' memorial states that he had a son Harold who survived his parents and siblings. Any connection?

RE: Leffler Cemetery
The person who posted that memorial has a message on their page from someone who has apparently tried to contact them and has received no reply, but I tried sending an email anyway to see if I could get a reply. I explained the situation and asked them to delete their memorial. I will wait for a time, and if this doesn't work the solution would be to contact findagrave. I had some family memorials transferred to me in the past when no one was active in managing them. If I had them, I would delete them. Have you noticed there is another Jacob Leffler with an older stone pictured in Balsley cemetery? I didn't write down the number, but it is easy to find by searching for all the Jacob Lefflers in Indiana - less than one page of them. I have also written to the person who manages this stone to find more info.

RE: Leffler Cemetery
I know the entry is Jasper Co., IN is not right unless there was another Salome Leffler there. There were (and may still be) Lefflers in Jasper County, but I have never found a connection to the Lefflers I research. I have been doing research on my family for at least 60 years and I think I would have found something by now. I probably need to contact the 'owner' of that memorial.

RE: Leffler Cemetery
I will willingly take Salome's memorial. I was gone over the weekend and hadn't checked emails, but did notice as I read the list just now that there was a transfer. Thank you.

RE: William Briggs Memorial
To be honest, I have been on this Ancestry trail for 14 hours straight - an all nighter! I am so tired right now I cannot even find the grave. I do know I was on a William Briggs link, a descendant of John Briggs, Little Neck Cemetery in Mass. I clicked links down the line and somehow I ended up in a place where I saw your name. I realize now that that the picture I was referring to was the profile pic next to your email address/ message you returned to someone. So the pic was undoubtedly a personal profile pic for you! (The title of the message was RE: William Briggs Memorial. I can picture that in my head:) Nevertheless, I don't think your pic had anything to do with what I was looking for. My brain just quit multitasking about then and I just wasn't thinking straight! Sorry!I do appreciate your response! Merci beau coup!

William Briggs Memorial
I am a descendant of John Briggs, the eldest of a long string of "William Briggs'. I was navigating through the messages on his memorial and came across your pic. I am curious. Do you mind sharing who is pictured in your photo? Is it a descendant of John Briggs? William Briggs Senior? Or any other Briggs down that line? I thank you in advance for you response.
