Thanks so much for going back and photographing the tombstones for William and John Engel. I really appreciate your time and help.
|Steve McAnelly||RE: Dan Pimpsner|
You are most welcome.
Since I am also retired Air Force, I cannot understand how I overlooked adding those photos when I took them. Guess I need to go back and recheck the others in that section to make sure I did not miss any others.

I received your note of problem for John Engel.
Yes he is the one I need.
I also need photo for William Engel (I just placed him in the photo request list.)
I believe that they are related. Would appreciate
a photo of both tombstones. Thanks and Happy Mother's Day to the Mothers in your family. Ruth

|Fay Carmichael||RE: Lytle at Melrose|
Oh, I wondered why he died so young. Sad. His parents, the Lytles, were related by marriage to the Derby family.
My second cousin (two times removed) came from Canada to Philadelphia about 1901 and married James Lytle Derby. At the time we had so few relatives in the States that I was interested in following their lives.
Our Carmichaels are from Lislea, 35 miles due east of Derry. They may have originally come from Scotland - but it would have been before the 1700s.
A ggg uncle from Ireland was awarded 100 acres in Ontario after fighting with the British Army in the 1837 Upper Canada Rebellion, so two of his siblings joined him.
Thanks again for the photos - beautiful cemetery.
