Bio Photo Many thanks to the interpreter who has been a tremendous help: Nicholas Maskalick

Our Motto: No Cemetery too big, no Cemetery too small, if we can't find a marker, it's not there at all!
We, the genealogist and the photographer, really enjoy being volunteers for Find-a-Grave. It is very gratifying to be helping others and making new friends. Also, it is enjoyable seeing the earlier generation's monuments, crypts and markers.
We are a retired military family (USMC). After over 22 years we settled in Pittsburgh, Pa. Charlie is from Tennessee, Mary grew up in Pittsburgh. (Mary won the tossup.)
Thanks to all for the great responses of our findings. They are the icing on the cake!

good point - according to New Orleans death record index, she died in New Orleans (lived in Baton Rouge). Her husband, Wm. H. Wood, was from Allegheny, working in the coal business started by his father, and moved down to Baton Rouge. Wm father Burris, and well as many of the Wood family are buried at Chartiers, including my 2nd great-grandfather's sister, Miriam WIDNEY Wood. Dan Carrier

P.S. I see there is another memorial in same section for Wm Wood (Larson) who was born & died in 1879.

P.S.S. Hoping to visit Chartiers someday. Happy New Year

Yes, that would the case with the death certificate saying that Lawrence Ignatious Hogenmiller died of the [Spanish] Influenza on Dec. 7, 1918 with the son, Lawrence, most likely of the same cause in the same year; Aug. 18, 1918.

The death certificate also specifying Saint Georges while the memorial page is showing Saint John Vianney Cemetery.

Never making a census, I had not heretofore been aware of the younger Lawrence.
