IMPORTANT NOTICE: Over the years I have left hundreds of memorial notes on Confederate veteran's FindAGrave memorial pages, using a particular Confederate Flag as a symbol. Recently I discovered that flag had been replaced with flowers. If you see one of my memorial messages left on a memorial page with flowers instead of the flag, please notify me so that I can make the appropriate changes.|
Sons of Confederate Veterans Compatriot - Camp No. 1921 - The Tallassee Armory Guards.
Please feel free to use/share photographs and other historical information I've posted to memorials.
The Chattahoochee Valley Historical Society has endorsed FindAGrave and as a member of that society I have visited many cemeteries and added graves/memorials on its behalf.
I manage several hundred memorials in Chambers County, AL that Hank Rogers transferred over to me before he became inactive with F.A.G.
Also, most of the very old newspaper items on my memorials are through the courtesy of F.A.G. Member #47182102 who has painstakingly transcribed volumes of "The LaFayette Sun", the official newspaper of Chambers County, Alabama.

|C. R. Lane||Marvin Pridmore|
I have added the obit for Mr. Pridmore. Thank you for sending it. Would you please check the address. It looked a little strange to me as house numbers don't usually reach a 6 digit number in Decatur. Thank you.
for giving me credit on the Lewis Daniel page- (for his will naming Elizabeth Gray). Few do!

|Paul Bartley||Bartley memorials|
DC, many thanks for the transfer of memorials of some of my Bartley clan!
Thank you for the obit. I have added it to the memorial. I wonder if you have an obit for Mariah Adams Wade, Hamilton's first wife. She died in the early 1870's, I believe.

|John C. Awbrey||McClendon family cemetery|
Hi. I noticed you photographed several of the graves at McClendon family cemetery in Chambers Co., AL. Will you please provide me directions on how to get to the cemetery? Thanks.
|Donnie Blackstone ||RE: Blackstone|
I believe Judith Unknown Blackstone b.est.1775 that's in the 1840 Census is the lady named Mary Unknown Blackstone in the 1820 Census one of the Census is Pendleton District 1820, the area of Old Pendleton District had split it to Towns and County and it Was Pickens County, 1830 1840 so with the children that are listed on these Census looks like Mary Judith Blackstone maiden name unknown and the Census est. her birth at est. 1775,in all three, if she was Widowed by 1820 her husband Blackstone may have been in the War of 1812-15, I wish I could find a list of Blackstone men that died in South Carolina around this time, Thanks and anything you find on these Old Blackstone / Blackston family's send it to me Please, Thanks
