Bio and Links
Bio Photo I want to thank everyone that has helped me and for all the kindness, hard work and effort they have gone to making memorials on FAG. Am always worried I missed thanking someone for their work and their help, so this is THANK YOU TO ALL for the photos, linking updates and any transfers. IT IS ALL VERY APPRECIATED.
I know that I have made so many link edits and requests to updates that in my email I am not able to keep up with all of the thank yous and am truly sorry for that.

** PLEASE read the FAQ concerning BURIALS UNKNOWN. They are to be used for RECENT deaths only, not your 176th great grandfather whose burial is 'not located yet.' I adhered to the rules, please do the same. I will not link to an unknown burial. **

Has been an exciting journey and learning experience for me and my family. I love it and wish you all the best in your journey. Thank you.

Elizabeth Little

I was trying to fill your request for a photo for Elizabeth Little d; 1848. I placed the photo I had recently taken to her profile. Then I went back to check my work and saw the dates weren't correct. There are 2 Elizabeth Little's in that small cemetery! I quickly removed the photo I had placed, but in doing so, it removed your request from her profile. You might want to place your request again, sorry. Lesson learned. I'm not sure whether her grave is photographable, because of deteriorated conditions of the graves in that cemetery. Thanks for your understanding, Alan

RE: Hassler bible
I am also through Abraham and Nancy. I am through Abraham and Nancy's son Pleasant but haven't gotten very much info on him yet as I'm still working on trying to button down his father, Michael.
The "George Washington Hassler" you referred to-is that their son born in 1780? (I show he married a Mary Noon?)
Or are you referring to George (born in 1758?) as the son of Michael and Margretta or a different George all together (Perhaps Abraham and Nancy had a son George and that's who you're referring to)?
Since it seems like we are related down the line-I would love to have any info you have on him. I haven't done a DNA test but would love to know more about what you found.
I'm very new at the whole geneaology thing-I just started this year and I'm getting as much stuff as I can far back and working my way forward. I got stuck finding out Michael didn't have a stone so I felt like that was my first task to accomplish.
Thanks for your information. I look forward to hearing from you.

RE: Michael Hassler
I show he was from York County but died in Roane County, TN in 1826.
I'm more curious as to the years the first three sons were born.I have
1) Joseph in 1750
2) Michael in 1751? 1754?
3) Christian 1752

My problem is that some documents indicate Michael was born in 1751 and some in 1754. Yet their father's will clearly states Michael was the third son and we have baptismal records stating Christian was born on 8/28/1752. So Michael would have to have been born in 1751 to be the second son.
Can you confirm or refute any of this based on the Bible or original documents you may have?
My email is Thank you for your help with this.

re: Saggs, Mount Vernon Cemetery...
Hi Pat,

Would you do me a favor please and contact me via my email address (on my page) about this? I can see some issues that need resolved before requesting a deletion of the duplicate.

Thanks... have a great week :)

Michael Hassler-Swan Pond Cemetery
I am showing you added a clipping from the Hassler Family Bible stating Michael was born in 1754. Do you have a copy of the family Bible or have you seen it?
I am a relative and trying to purchase a gravestone for him. I would like to put the year he was born but I'm finding conflicting material. I have found his birth dates varying from 12/15/1751 to 11/5/1754 and 12/15/1754. Obviously, there's a discrepancy.
His father, also Michael, has a will stating his son Michael was his second son. We have baptismal records from his third son, Christian, showing he was born 8/28/1752 and baptized 4/23/1753.
If Michael was the second son and born 12/4/1751-there's no way his mother could have born their third son on 8/28/1752. Also, if Christian was born in 1752 and Michael was born in 1754-he would be the third son.
The first son, Joseph, was born 9/8/1750. It would make sense for Michael to be born sometime in 1751 then Christian to be born 8/28/1752.
I am just trying to find all the material I can before I order the headstone. If you have a copy of the family Bible or have other reliable records, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Re: Mary Reveal
I'm sorry you found yourself in this dilemma. This is a tale of two Hopewell Cemeteries in Marion County, IN. The first was listed as on the East side of the county and the second one I found in 2014 after doing extensive research in our State Library. I added it and a list of those buried there to the Find A Grave website I knew it was on the west side somewhere and some people listed as in that cemetery were on the list for the Hopewell I found. The name you ask about was apparently moved from the first Hopewell (east) to the one I created (west) at some point and she didn't merge it with mine. You notice that, though that memorial was created in 2008, there is still no picture of the grave and that mine does have one. That is because Mary Reveal was buried in the west cemetery. I hope that explanation satisfies you. We were on vacation

RE: Mary Cox
I'm going to pop by the grave this weekend and see if there is any way to get a better picture for you. The tree is really in the way. :-)

I can't figure out how to leave you a private message.

If the photo provide with the listing is not Ignatious, who is the photo of? Do you have a photo of ING? Everything else I have seen suggests that this is a photo of Ignatious. Ignatious is my 5x great grandfather too. :)
