My interest in this web site grew out of my love for family history. Once I discovered Findagrave, being retired, it made sense to volunteer thereby helping others in their search for family. Please feel free to contact me with corrections and/or suggestions. In those cases where the memorial is not my relative I am always open to transfering as outlined by Findagrave. You are also free to use any of my photos for your family histroy. While not necessary, credit is always appreciated. My interest in Findagrave led to South Dakota Gravestones web site and eventually coordinator for Lincoln county. If you have family buried in South Dakota please visit the web site. Certainly you are invited to contribute to the site as well. My sincere thank you to all the findagrave volunteers. I now have many photos I would not otherwise have had, if not for you.|

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vt. Edward Rowe and Vilory Wilson are two such patriots. May I use the photo's that you contributed to their Find A Grave Memorial pages, to post on the Vt.C.W.site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

I have found an error in relation regarding this profile. Charles and Arminda was husband and wife, not mother and son.

That's very strange since I copied and pasted the link. I have changed it and I think it will take you to the M page and then you will have to scroll down to S D Martin. Thanks for letting me know about this problem.

Thank you for the excellent photo. I wonder what the symbol in the middle means? And I wonder why their last name (Nervig) doesn't appear on the stone.

Hello Ed, I appreciate your quick response and will check with Find a Grave. The rules seem vague to me. Death certificates can be added, so I assumed other public records could. Not really necessary, but did show her marriage proof. I try to show sources whenever I add anything. You have certainly done a lot of work, Thank you for maintaining my great aunt's memorial

Thank you for the encouragement! I am pleased that my volunteer efforts are helping others find family. Other's efforts have helped me and I enjoy passing on to others likewise.
I have been active in genealogy for many years and have found Findagrave one of the most helpful resources. I enjoy the trill of adding names of buried loved one's not previously recorded. It sort of brings them to life again.
My wife tells me that Findagrave is Facebook for the dead! God Bless you also.

The info you need for that headstone are: Russell Richard Collins (Sept 22,1881-Aug 15,1892). His Father was Richard Seymour Collins, mother was Sarah Helena Robbins Collins. The other child's headstone (memorial #91828104)was born and died same day May 21, 1884. That brings me to my question. Is it possible to locate the grave site of my great-grandmother, Sarah Collins (Jan 7, 1860-Apr 26, 1935) who I think is buried at Eden Cemetery? Her death certificate has place of burial as Hudson, S.D., and two of her children are buried there, but I have I not found a find a grave listing for her anywhere as of yet. Thank you so much for your time.

I am related to the Eastmans in Grace Hill Cemetery in Hawarden Iowa. How do we transfer their information for my family tree? Thank you to a new Find A Grave member!
