I strive to provide accurate, interesting, and informative memorial records. All edits are welcomed and will be acted on promptly. Any record that turns out to be a duplicate will be removed, no questions asked.

It is an honor for me to be able to create a memorial for a person. Those who have gone before deserve our respect and gratitude.

TRANSFERS: I will gladly transfer memorials upon request to relatives of those memorialized following the Find A Grave four generation rule. Requests for transfers outside those guidelines will be considered on an individual basis. Any transfers made to me will be accepted without question.

Bulk transfers of everyone you are related to in a cemetery will not be made. Just because they are in your family tree is not reason for a transfer.

Names of living people will not be added to a person's record, with the exception of the person's spouse who may or may not be mentioned by name. Obituaries will be condensed and burial details left out.

I prefer that my photos not be used on other websites without my permission and without credit being given.

Correction for William Hale
Hi Robert, I got your request for death date correction on William. You asked to have it changed to 27 June 1838. Have you discovered any documents to support this date? Or if not what is your reasoning for the date? Its very difficult to figure out exactly when his death occurred, when son William was born and when Elizabeth married Sanford Richey. The docs I've seen all seem to disagree with each other! Great to hear from you. All the best, Lynne Bottoms

Scratches in Stone
I have a quick story about the stone for Lula May Varner at Lone Valley Cemetery that I found in your virtual cemetery. In the early 50's I visited the cemetery with my grandfather, John Shamblin Varner, Lula May's father, and it was his only time to return to Arkansas following her death. When we first visited the grave he said "I can't believe it, I can't believe it". My dad asked him what he was talking about and Shamblin said that he couldn't believe that he had carried by hand the stone in which he carved the inscription. He had carried the stone over a quarter of a mile and now in his 60's the feat did not seem possible.

Lula May was a very lively child and brought much happiness to their growing family and her loss was greatly felt. Today when I talk to surviving children that did not know their older sister you can still sense the pain that forever permeated the family. Under such conditions we can sometimes do the seemingly impossible.

The new stone in the cemetery was place there in the 60's by her yet unborn younger sister and her husband, Lucile and Vanburn Glaze

Thank you for your photo and attention.
