If you want to use my pictures in your family research files or whatever it is fine with me.

I am a direct descendant of the Richard Haines who left England aboard the ship "Amity" in 1682. He died on the ship and his wife and kids settled in NJ. Richard was my 6th Great Grandfather. There are a lot of Haines in the US from this Richard. Nathan Haines of OH was my Gr Grandfather. Ebenezer Haines who married Rebecca Berry was his father. Nathan Haines married Sarah Iiams in Grant Co., IN. I have also done a lot of research on the Iiams name. My Grandfather E. Morton Haines was born in Grant Co., IN in 1865 and moved to OR in 1892 where he lived out his life. I have a lot of family connections to Grant Co., IN.

RE: Thank you
The historic society here in Oregon said he disappeared for a couple years. I do know his junior partners kicked him out of his practice because he was collecting money off the streets and not writing it in the books. After his death, his wife went to court over a debt and won in the higher courts because the note holder didn't get the thing noterized. Even though there may have been nonsense going on, such was the dog eat dog way of the 19th century.

Ah yes, sarcasm and humor can be hard to translate in email. If I'd slowed down and read carefully I might have caught on...no blonde jokes. haha. I just figured you had the photos on hand and hadn't had time to upload yet or just happened to be up there at the time the request came through.
Thanks again!

Hi,
I just put the request in this evening so was really surprised how fast the photo showed up.

Thank you for the information on Nancy Katherine Alexander. She was a daughter of Sarah Davis Alexander Peake. Sarah was a sister to my 2nd great grandmother, Susan Davis Bryant. I've created a memorial for Nancy Katherine Alexander, and linked her to her parents.

Hello Nathan,

Thank you for processing some of the edits I suggested for this man.

A simple - and short, but polite - explanation of why you declined the edit suggestion for his name would have sufficed. It was completely unneccesary for you to leave a flaming, long-winded nastygram on my profile describing how "right" you are.

Have a nice day.
