I am a direct descendant of the Richard Haines who left England aboard the ship "Amity" in 1682. He died on the ship and his wife and kids settled in NJ. Richard was my 6th Great Grandfather. There are a lot of Haines in the US from this Richard. Nathan Haines of OH was my Gr Grandfather. Ebenezer Haines who married Rebecca Berry was his father. Nathan Haines married Sarah Iiams in Grant Co., IN. I have also done a lot of research on the Iiams name. My Grandfather E. Morton Haines was born in Grant Co., IN in 1865 and moved to OR in 1892 where he lived out his life. I have a lot of family connections to Grant Co., IN.

RE: Damours
Thanks! I have the fatal accident record. It says he was buried on Feb. 5, 1920, but the researcher says Jan. 16, 1920 (which makes more sense).

Bonney Cem. Inscriptions gives name and date of birth death and place of burial.

Elon Mix was the husband of George's youngest daughter Rosie, so there is a reasonably close family connection.

RE: Damours
I talked to the Archdiocese Archivist this morning (for about 30 minutes!); he said that it might take quite a bit of searching to locate the records, so he would have to get back to me. Over all, it looks promising.

On a related matter, I am also trying to pin down Mary Emily's first husband, George Wellrose Robeson, who died in 1920 (drowned in a mill pond). His death was at Castle Rock, WA, but another researcher states that he was buried in the Bonney Cemetery at Colton, OR. I see that you had created a memorial for his grandmother there (# 67467125) a few years ago; do you happen to have access to any records of the interments there (other than the listings at Find a Grave)?

Thanks again!

RE: Damours
Thanks! I just added him; he is # 176550950. I also put in a photo request, in the hopes that he has a grave marker.

Have a great week!

RE: Johann Dunn Bunnell
Hi, thanks so much for taking the time to write back and to type up her obit. Her first name has been a challenge in the research. That is why I am very eager to see the gravestone. I suspect her first name is a some version of Johanna. Her marriage record lists her as John Ann Dunn. She is also listed as that in various other census records though we sometimes find variations like Johnann or even Anna. I have even seen her referred to as Jacqueline. Thanks again for the obit. I have not yet seen the photo posted but assume it's coming. And yes, Maxine is her daughter. Husband is Seberry - also one who has various spellings. I will put in a couple of other requests. And, yes, I would like to know names of the other Bunnells there. If they are relatives, I may ask for more photos. Thanks so much.
