In the last few years, I have been creating memorials for my family, as I discover where they are buried. This is still an on going project.

FYI: I am related to some of the memorials which I manage, if they are family members, unless you have a closer relationship than I do I won't transfer them.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.
Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!
How can I request to manage a relative's memorial?
Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. You can add photos and suggest corrections without managing a memorial. With millions of members, there will be many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all members to manage their entire tree.
Memorials are transferred for relatives with these close relationships: child, spouse/partner, sibling, parent, grandchild, great-grandchild, grandparent, great-grandparent, niece/nephew, great-niece/nephew, aunt/uncle, great-aunt/uncle, or first cousin.
If two members are related within these guidelines and both would like to manage the memorial, the member with the closer relationship should be given management.
Always explain your relationship in the request! Keep in mind that the memorial manager may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. You may also want to include your specific interest in the memorial.
To request to manage a memorial for a close relative who is recently deceased "If the member adding this memorial is not related within our updated transfer guidelines, to be sensitive to family members, the memorial displays with limited information to others on the site for the first three months after the death date. After three months from the death date, the view of the memorial is no longer limited. The memorial will show as others do except that for up to a year from the death date, the option for a close relative to 'Manage' the memorial will show on the memorial."
To request a transfer on the memorial in question, click on 'Suggest other Corrections' under the 'Suggest Edits' button and type your message to the memorial manager. Be sure to include your relationship to the person and any other reason for the transfer request. This message will be sent to the member, even if there is not an email address listed on their profile.
In Aug 2011, I transcribed The Bay City IOOF Cemetery. I have created a spreadsheet of this Cemetery, taken photos of all of the headstones and put this information on FindaGrave. I have tried to research something about the person and link them with their family members.I have completed photographing all of the headstones at the Fairview Pioneer Cemetery. I have also received from the Tillamook Pioneer Museum a listing of all of the graves that are in This Cemetery, along with a map. It is quite a small cemetery and it is quite overgrown, there are not many headstones left that are readable.
