Bio Photo Please do not send me edits wanting two last names in the last name box. Only one last name and that is the last name on the tombstone and other names listed in the bio. Maiden name box should be the Maiden name box and nothing else. When you send me an edit, I have to be able to find that info also and if I can't, you may have to send me proof.I do not add military titles unless it was their lifelong career but I always put photos of military markers at the top of the page.

Fred Rayburn Higgins #110089619
Greenview Memorial Gardens, Forest Hills, Lauderdale County, Alabama.

Fred Higgins is a 2nd cousin once removed. I have been searching for his date & place of death. I find it unusual that there is no date of death on find-a-grave. Wouldn't his marker/stone or the cemetery have that information? His draft registration card indicates a date of birth as 19 July 1924. Hoping you can shed some light and clear my confusion on this situation. Thanks.

Mr.&Mrs. Paul Tubbs
Thank you very much for the photo of the Tubbs' headstone. You have also stirred my curiosity about Thelma Tubbs Loy who I cannot determine who she was;dates not right to be his daughter. In researching Ms. Loy, I found one of Paul's sisters Leona Tubbs Spencer buried in the same cem. and I have requested a photo of her headstone. Thanks again for your help.

Judy Moore Warren #159074428
Please add birthdate of March 10, 1945, to the subject record. Also, her middle name was Lynn and Moore is her maiden name. She is a cousin by marriage.

Joy, Thank you so much. I truly appreciate. I have seen your name on so many memorials, so I know you work very hard. If I can be of any assistance, please let me know. All of my mother's family is from Florence - her mother's family (Wesson) was a pioneer settler in Lauderdale County. My grandfather was from Cypress Inn, TN, but he and most of his siblings must have moved to Florence because most are buried there. I have not been working on her family for long, just long enough to get the bare bones. Now, I'm working on filling in the blanks - cousins, etc.

Again, thank you,

Mary Ann Butler Murphy, Memorial 63207802
Joy, I have two questions - 1st, may I use your photos (you have photographed a whole lot of my relatives headstones and cemeteries in Florence, Alabama) in my family tree, Carol Barber Family Tree. I'm relatively new at this and was not aware that there was a Find A Grave rule about copying photographs until a few months ago, so, I inadvertently used photos taken by a lot of photographers, you included. However, most, if not all, were passed via hints. I do not know if the people who used them got permission to do so. So, I've begun to ask permission, regardless of source.

The second question is about Mary Ann Butler's parents' burial. I wondered if you might have found out where they are buried. I have the info for their DOB and DOD, if you do find out where they are buried and wish to enter their memorials.

I have submitted edits to update the date Mary Ann Butler died (unfortunately I don't know where in Alabama she was born, although I suspect it was Lauderdale county) and to update where she died, which was Florence. I also submitted updates for her DOB and DOD, taken from the SS Death Index of 1935-2014

I also submitted edits to link her husband's (Charles David Murphy, SR) parents' to him and to update his DOB and DOD information. His birth and death info was also obtained from the SS Death Index of 1935 - 2014. His brother was linked to his parents but he wasn't.

I also want to thank you for the hard work you do to enter memorials and to photograph headstones and cemeteries. It is thankless, tedious work, as I am reminded every time I update someone else's memorial. I have only entered a few myself - my mother's and stepfather's and one or two others. I think I manage a grand total of 8 memorials!!

So, again, thank you and have a great day.

Martha Elizabeth "Matt" McGwier Brown
I just wanted to let you know that this Memorial is listed in the wrong family. This family had a daughter named Martha Emma McGuire who married Joseph McCain. I have searched and searched to try and figure out how these ladies forgot mixed up and I can't find any records of this Martha with these parents names (except here on this website).
I tried to use the "edit" function here, but not sure how that really works.
Thank you for your time and what looks to be like a whole lot of time you spend on genealogical work. :)

Jeanette Rainwater 81400778
Joy the family would like her name to be Riggs on the page. She was married to Mr Riggs for many years. She was only married to Mr Rainwater 8 months. In searching it will make it easier to find her. I did the edit but I was afraid it might not be accepted. She was my friend for 35 years. Thanks
