|Marnie Hawks Thompson||FRANCIS GODFREY GERBER|
Hi Bryan, we haven't spoken in a while, but I thought I'd write to see if you are interested in some updates that several of us have made to the Gerber family.
We now have Francis' father AND MOTHER and several of Francis' brothers and sisters as well as his Mother's parents-the Rebers.
We have located the manifest for the ship they arrived on in 1834.
Finally, we believe we have made the connection between your family and mine. Francis Godfrey Gerber's Father, Christian Gerber, and my 4th great-grandfather Jakob Gerber were brothers. Both born in Rothenbach, Switzerland. Your line arrived in 1834, mine in 1867.
One of our little trio that is working on the Gerber line is from your side of the Gerbers-Donna Schumacher. She lives in Idaho, but still has family in Buffalo. I know you are in Buffalo and I still live here, too-in Hamburg.
Just thought you might be interested in connecting!

Hi Bryan, I have just made contact with my Ball branch of my birth family. Recall I asked you about Joseph Ball who is buried in Byron Cemetery, the same as my 2x-great-grandfather Asahel Ball. They may be able to help. Remind me- Joseph Ball in Byron Cemetery is your father? I've forgotten. Are there any questions you want me to ask? Hope you are well. Sue
|Marnie Hawks Thompson||RE: Florentine|
you have brought up some good possibilities and I appreciate your looking into it.
I too, have found that children were often buried with grandparents when they predecease their parents - so you may be right.
If you have a photo, I'd love to see it! We live in Hamburg, but I think I'll wait til spring to make a trip out to Forest Lawn!
Thanks for your help.
|Marnie Hawks Thompson||Florentine May Wendt|
I have asked Jay Boone to move the pictures from a memorial that he created a few months after the one you did for Florentine. He is willing to do this, but is first questioning whether they are, in fact, duplicates.
His question is based on the fact that in your memorial for Florentine, you list the location as Section DD Lot 92 Grave 3. This is the section that FG Gerber and his family are in. Might you have listed the section for Florentine incorrectly when you were creating it?
I believe Florentine's grave location should be Section 26, the same section as her parents; Karl & Elizabeth Gerber Wendt.
Can you please check into this for me so that I can repond to Jay?

No, I'm not related. My sister is married to Charles Reiser but as far as I know, he is not related either. Sorry.
|DUVCW||RE: Conrad Feesz|
