"De mortuis nil nisi bonum"--Chilon of Sparta|
Although I live in Oklahoma, many of the memorials I have created and tombstone photos I have added are for the counties of Clay, Dickinson, Riley and Geary in Kansas. Please visit my homepage for Clay County genealogy--it contains links to the other counties mentioned, too.
Please use the "Edit" button at the top right of the memorial to request transfers or to add information. If requesting a transfer, please note how this person is related to you--not because of any FAG policy, just because I'm nosy!
I want to give a special shout out to Emily for the many obituaries she has submitted for Fairlawn Cemetery in OKC. I know that I and especially the families of those whose obits she sent appreciate it!
Well if it ever comes time,
that it comes time to go,
Sis' pack up your fiddle,
Sis' pack up your bow.
If I can't dance with you,
then I won't dance at all,
I'll just sit this one out,
with my back to the wall.
I'd rather not hear pretty music again,
If I can't hear your fiddle on a magnolia wind.
If I can't catch your scent on a magnolia wind.

It's a problem when there are conflicting claims, but my info comes from fairly close kin plus an obituary, so I think you should unlink them. I've sent a request to have the correct son linked. He's buried in a different cemetery.

Yes, she is my 16th great-grandmother through her granddaughter Isabel Drummond Campbell's line. You are welcome!

I don't see any of those names on my Myers line - but Wakefield and Junction City are where they lived so maybe there is a connection somewhere. Sorry I cant help you at this point. LG

You wrote: It looks as though we are cousins. My ggg-grandmother was Mary Vian Downs, daughter of William Vian and Jane Perkins. Three of Mary Vian Downs's children, William Downs (my gg-grandfather), Jeremiah Downs and Dorcas Sophia Downs Mefford went to Kansas with their Vian aunts and uncles--Ira Vian, Elijah Vian, Sarah Jane Vian McMurray and Amanda Ellen Vian Hardesty.
Yes, it looks as if we are. Your ggg-grandmother was the older sister of my ggg-grandfather, Benjamin F. Vian. He had a few children, one of whom was Charles Vian. He had a few children, one of whom was D. Ray Vian. He was my mothers grandfather. They had 11 children, the oldest being my grandmother Dorothy F. (Vian) Herrick. They had 5 children, the youngest being my mother.

Thanks for all your suggestions about descendants of William Warnock & Jane Campbell.
I have been in touch with descendants of Elizabeth Janet Warnock Fernea & have their current info. But they do not have photos of Jane Campbell Warnock, John C Warnock nor the Sweitzers. I was hoping that records in Portland might include photos.
|Frank Campbell||John E Wrnock|
Per your posting, John E Warnock died jan 2 1933 was buried in Rose City Cemetery, Portland, Oregon. Was he a son of William Warnock & Jane Campbell Warnock. Jane was also buried in Rose City Cemetery.
Are there any living descendants of these Warnocks?
