Bio and Links
Bio Photo I learned to love genealogy from my grandmother's sister, almost 15 years ago. She started me on the path to my grandmother's family and now am hooked. I earned a degree in Cultural Anthropology, but my true love is US History, no wonder I love genealogy so much. I have family buried all over the United States, but most are in Southern Illinois and Southern California.

RE: Grace Duff Lambert
I added no headstone since there was a individual stone for Grace, just one that said Lambert. If you are related I would be happy to transfer her memorial to you. Sharon

RE: no grave markers
Hi Sherie - Good news / Bad news. Both Jasper and Sue do have markers, but you can't read them. I have placed the marker photo on their memorials.
Jasper is left, Sue is right.

After receiving your message I went back to the photos I took of this area in June of 2008 to see if I noted any photographs of damaged or unreadable markers. With the information I have now, after working on this cemetery for three years, I can put a name to these specific markers.

This cemetery does not allow anyone to look at the plot maps, so I had no way of placing names to the 100's of unknown markers I have photographed. I first have to enter every single name, then by the process of elimination and the surrounding markers I can put names to markers. This process takes years. I still have 10,000 more names to enter here.

For Jasper and Sue, these are definitely their markers, even though you can't read them, based on the markers that are in place 1, 3, and 8 in this lot. Marble does not do well here in El Paso. After about 50 years it looks like it "melted".

As for the many others here that don't have markers, it is unknown if there was a marker or not, unless one contacts the cemetery office and asks. Many here never had markers or they just crumbled apart.

Thank you - Laurel

Green Hills Cemetery
Hello Sherie,
I made you correction. Do you want a transfer? I always trnasfer relatives if they are not related to me. I added a lot of names from Green Hills Cemetery as I have several relatives buried in that cemetery. I add names as I visit my relatives. Please let me know if you want the transfer and If I have any other relatives listed let me know.
Welcome to Find A Grave!
Best Wishes, Jenevia
