This is a fun and interesting hobby for me, as well as a great way to perform a meaningful community service to others. Someday I hope to have more free time to devote to it. |
In fairness to those who may have closer ties to a memorial, please read the Transfer Guidelines prior to requesting a transfer. I will make exceptions if I am doing photo requests for you. You do not need to "manage" every memorial that is part of your family tree. Remember that this site is for locating burials, not building a tree. There are other websites that are more suitable for that purpose. I will be happy to make any links and corrections. PLEASE use the SAC feature ("Edit" tab). Please do not ask me to do links to any "Burial Unknown". Do your homework, first. FIND A GRAVE ADMINISTRATORS SUPPORT THIS POLICY. Please feel free to add photos where appropriate, as you do not need to manage the memorial to add photos.
Please be kind to Photo Volunteers! We are out there in all kinds of weather in a variety of conditions to find your friend's/relative's graves. We are not after a Pulitzer Prize and sometimes even our best effort may produce a not-so-good photo. If any of my photos are not to your liking, please leave me a message and I will try to get a better one. I will not be offended.
I will no longer makes Edits (other than links and dates) for people who do not have their messages turned on. If I have questions, and have no way to contact you, I will not make the Edits. I do not use e-mail; please don't ask.
NOTE: All photos that I have posted on Find a Grave ARE photos that I have taken myself, or, in the case of a few portrait photos, I received permission to use them and it is so stated in the photo's caption. Photos that I've posted of cemetery gates, signs, statues, buildings, points of interest, mausoleums, etc. that have been added to a cemetery's profile page were ALL taken by me and were submitted to the Admins of this site for posting if they chose to do so. Family photos are all photos that are in my possession, taken by me or immediate family members who are no longer living.
Since March 2013 I have taken over management of approximately 25,000 memorials in Inglewood Park Cemetery from Chris Mills. Please continue to send suggestions for corrections using the "Edit" tab and I will get to them as soon as I can.

|Mary Gale Rogers||RE: Aunt Edo|
Thank you. I put in for a deletion with an explanation but they might merge the two.
Today was her birthday and that's how I happened upon the duplication. I just added a little to her biographical sketch to honor her. She was so loved by so many of us. If I did my math right, she would be 129 years old!!!

Just letting you know that Edna B Basore's parents were not (Daughter of George and Ida Basore)
She was my Great Aunt and her parents were Edward Beebe & Hannah M Beebe.

Hi! Not related, at least not that I know of although there was a Person in the San Fernando Valley, a step brother to me. I see my own surname so seldom that I do stop and take notice. Hope all is well with you, I still have my ups and downs. Unfortunately it's my weight that is the most "up" - figures!

I found Bernard S. Holmes' death record here:
"California Death Index, 1905-1939," database with images, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QK91-P84H : 5 June 2015), Bernard S Holmes, 29 Feb 1920; citing 7109, Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics Department, Sacramento.

|C.||Donna Price Memorial|
Hi B. J.
I used the incorrect terminology. I know it was incorrect. I goofed by typing ' deleting vs editing ' her memorial. I Edited the Memorial James Created. As it the one you have the Beautiful Headstone picture for Donna Marie Price.
I don't have to manage the memorial's, I really wanted to know where my Great Uncle's were interred, which started this conversation with James. He kindly discovered more relatives.
I was thinking of Donna reading over my notes, so I called the Cemetery. You kindly take your time out to do above and beyond to help other's like me and thousands to aid in the Volunteer Photography of Headstones and digging up earth to uncover them, if necessary. You are Awesome.
I greatly apologize for my poor usage in wording on my original statement [ post ]. My Bad, and I know better. ;-( Sorry.
Regarding the memorial you created for a Price, you may handle that please and thank you.
I did EDIT Donna Marie Price memorial and linked her memorial to her mother and father memorial's.
Thank You for catching my error on the usage of words.
Thank You. Are we On the same line of thinking now?

Hi B. J
I called the Cemetery about Donna Price. They do not have a Mary Price in the Iris Section but they do have the memorial you created for Donna Price. Her full name- Donna Marie Price is the daughter of Opal Watts and Woodrow Alexander Price.
I will delete the other memorial romper [ James ] created as Mary Donna Price B. Unknown D. Unknown
I did ask about the wife of John Sherman Price, she is
Viola Joanna Shinkle Price
B. Feb. 14 1890 Missouri
D. May 14 1982 Los Angeles California
She is interred there too, but in 399 Sunny Slope. Grave 7
I can creat her memorial to link her to her husband then list her burial information. At least now, I know she is there too at Inglewood
And, we now know the mystery of Donna Price.
Thank You very much for your kindness and time.

Your welcome ~ they say it takes a village, so I am just doing my part.
|Christie Trapp||Mina Bench Christian|
Back in 2010 you too a grave photo for Mina but I think I failed to properly thank you for doing so. As you can probably conclude, time has slipped away from me and your message was still in my in-box all these years latter telling me to thank you. Anyway, thank you.
AHH!!! I knew you'd come up with an explanation!
No problem. I know the rules state that the memorial page with a Cemetery listed takes preference over one with "burial unknown". That's the way it should be! I believe I sent it to you to have you merge them, but you were one step ahead of me!
