I have been working on genealogy for many years and have been a member of Find-a-Grave for the last few years. It is certainly my intent to be accurate with my entries, so please notify me through the edit button if mistakes are found. Also, if I've added one of your relatives and you want management of their memorial, please send me a request through the edit button and I will consider the request. |
Most of my family migrated to Shelby Co, Illinois so that is my main research area.

|Julia M.||RE: Elizabeth Cowan Warren|
Sure, it would be great if you put the verification on her memorial. Her brother Varner owned a big brick house which is where Stones River battle was fought. I'll see if I can find your private email address. The story is very interesting.

Thanks so much for putting the picture of Peter on his Memorial. He was the brother of my ancestor, Nathaniel.
I believe that Cowan is the correct maiden name for Peter's wife, based on this:
Rutherford County Historical Society. Publication (Volume 36) . (page 9 of 28)
687. RB5,pl9 - Petition [edqes are torn - Ed.]: David Cowan - 14 Jun 1819 - Widow: Nancy Cowan - Heirs at law: Peter Warren and wife, Elizabeth H., Vamer D. Cowan, William B. Cowan - S: emancipation of neqro woman, Hindy, approved by Frederick Barfield.
