Anytime !! The real pleasure was all mine. I started out asking for help, now returning all the generous help extended to me. Also spending time in the cemeteries, is comforting, enjoyable and pleasurable, not to mention educational.

Re:William Matthews Cemetery
Thanks for your e-mail regarding William "Billy" Matthews duplicate in William Matthews Cemetery.
I created this cemetery and submitted a number of names and pictures. At some point, I learned that duplicates were added from one or more of the other Matthews brothers' cemeteries. I will delete my entries when I find the time to make sure the links are not lost.

I sent you an edit for transcription. I posted another pic. Had to crop my feet out first! lol. I hate when that happens!

RE: Austin Hartwell Johnson
Oh my gosh, you answered very quickly! And I thank you for this information. I will see what or if I can find anything about Jack Fields in Florida, though he may be passed on as well . . .

I'm fascinated to hear that you grew up next door to Mr. Johnson. I would love to interview you about your recollections of him, if you are willing.

I went to Furman and got introduced to people in the Monetta section by Mr. Jerrold Watson of Ridge Springs, who I found through the Furman alumni directory. He was such a kind man and I know that his family seems to have dominated the founding and life of the town for many generations.

Let me know if you think you'd be willing to let me ask you a few questions about Mr. AH Johnson.

Thank you again, so much.

Elizabeth

Austin Hartwell Johnson
Hello RSnative,

I'm writing from Orangeburg and am looking for living descendants, hopefully direct, of Austin Hartwell Johnson. Am working on a book in which Mr. Johnson figures. Thank you for your reply! Elizabeth R
