I'm maintaining the genealogy information on my ancestors.

By doing this I came across Find A Grave and discovered what a wonderful site it is. I have found some of my relatives on this site and thought I would return the "favor" and add other people's relatives to this site.

Each memorial I have put up, family ties or not, have been to honor those who have passed on before us. My family memorials are to help others researching the same lines.

I also have started photographing and documenting cemeteries to help connect family members to their research names and to help preserve the cemeteries.

I will be more than happy to add in links, updates and further information to any memorial. I am also more than happy to transfer memorials outside of my family.

Emma Virginia Laing Vickers
After walking over Butler Cemetery, I found that there were a number of grave pictures had not been uploaded. One of those was listed only as “Vickers”. After researching the “Cemeteries of Grady County, Georgia” book and Ancestry.com, I found the following edits:

“Vickers” 30725404 should be “Emma Virginia Laing Vickers. Born: 26 Jul 1857; Died: 13 Feb 1885. Grave marker is marked as Virginia Vickers. She married Jorden V Vickers, Jr 30725401 in Gadsden County, FL on 4 Mar 1880.
Father – Early Elbert Laing – 27469943 at Thompson-Burns Cemetery in Concord, Gadsden, Florida.
Mother – Lucretia Ann “Lou” Thompson Laing – 27470048 at Thompson-Burns Cemetery in Concord, Gadsden, Florida.
Virginia and Jorden Vickers are shown on 19 Jun 1880 census in Gadsden County, FL.
Virginia and Jorden gave birth to:
Edgar Hartwell Vickers – 21109414 - Born: 23 Dec, 1880 Florida, USA; Died: 3 Aug 1960, Sanford, Seminole, FL. Buried at Lakeview Cemetery, Sanford, Seminole, FL.
Wiley S Vickers – 30725403 – Born: 11 Mar 1883, Died: 30 Dec 1884. Buried at Butler Cemetery.
After Virginia’s death, Jorden married Idella S Barber 30725399 on 25 Jul 1890 in Decatur County, Georgia.

Florence Marie Pettis Hagen
Memorial # 142265752

You have Elijah Wilson Pettis listed as her brother and I am finding that in the census he is listed as her father. The dates make more sense to me that way also. I was wondering on what records you base her parents being William and Rebecca rather than Elijah and Margie?

Thank you for any help.

re Morris Famiy
Hello.
I ran across your Memorial for William L Morris
Have been searching my Morris side of the family
my 2nd great grandfather is Elder William Smith
Morris. also I linked to other brothers to great
grandpa James Madison(Jim)Morris and Bailey Thomas
Morris. James's wife was Mahala F Williams Morris and Bailey's wife is Eliza Ricks Morris according to U.S. Census records and Nth Carolina Geneology records and Family Search.org. They were all born in Caswell Nth Caroline. they link William L to
James but commonly know as Jim. If your are related
to the morris clan I would appericate any other
info you might have Thanks much.
Peabody.

Tommie vs Tommy Moore
I just returned from my Sister's Memorial and thought working on Find A Grave would take my mind off things. The message I sent was incorrect, it was not a duplicate, but the spelling is wrong. It is Tommy and Tommie. We are supposed to show the name as it is shown on the grave.

Thank you and have a nice weekend.

Marvin Barrett
Look for his grave at Woodlawn Cemetery in Havana, Florida (Gadsden County). His family had him moved many years ago. I did not look to see if there is a picture of the grave on the Internet now but I have seen a memorial for him in the past.

John J. and Kelly or Kelley
The grave pictures you requested are on the Internet at Pisgah Cemetery. There are duplicate memorials with the memorials spelled both ways but the pictures clearly show Kelly.

If you have questions, email me privately and I will try to explain.

Please correct me if Memorial# 158675863 is not their daughter. They are buried within 2 graves of each other. Thanks.

Marintha Spivey
Hello,

Marintha Spivey was my great-grandfather's mother. I had created a memorial (#65701384) for her a year before you created the one you manage. If you would like, since you already manage the memorial for my great-great grandfather, Alexander, I could transfer ownership of my memorial to you. Just let me know. If you would, please update Marintha's info such as adding her maiden name so it will help further the research of future Spivey family genealogists. Also under children, you have listed Homer Leon McLendon and Edmund "Eddie" Spivey who are the same person. My great-grandfather had changed his name from Edmund Spivey to Homer McLendon once he'd moved to Texas. I had created the memorial for Edmund a few years ago, which I will be deleting because I now manage the memorial for Homer Leon McLendon. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks so much!
