PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE PHOTOS I HAVE UPLOADED and upload them anywhere, at least not without telling me what you want to use it for and getting my agreement to that. Not only is it against findagrave.com policy guidelines, it's against copyright LAW. As a practical matter, because I am researching more than just cemeteries and interested in connecting with other descendants of mutual ancestors to share all kinds of genealogy information, I want to be the one to upload my photos so that my profile link is below those photos, making it easier for others to contact me. If you want one of my photos added to a memorial on findagrave or ancestry.com, please just ask me, and I will be very happy to do so. |
Conversely, despite Findagrave.com's policy GUIDELINES (which are NOT LAWS nor findagrave's conditions for participation), I will gladly transfer any memorial I manage or created to a person more closely related to the person memorialized than I am. I am extremely grateful to the many strangers who have created memorials and uploaded photos, but I think it is more important that a memorial be managed by the closest relative, rather than only if you are descended directly from that person by 3 generations or fewer, especially as contrasted with a stranger.
On ancestry.com, I have made a very wide public tree, "Kline-Barrow & Hackard-Crisp, etc." because I enjoy these kinds of puzzles and have found that I have obtained more information about direct ancestors from distant relatives than close relatives have ever known. And, yes, I do recognize the conflict between that realization and my opinion that memorials be managed by the closest relative.
I haven't been able to go to any new cemeteries since the autumn of 2012 but to the cemeteries I do go to in the future starting hopefully in the autumn of 2015, I will try to check findagrave.com for others' requests. Although our home base is in Colorado, we have traveled off and on to other states for our work and I hope to be doing so again by 2016.

Not blood relative. Her sister, Ellen (Ella) married my 3rd great-uncle, Alexander Lyons, son of Michael Lyons & Catherine McQueeney (more likely McWeeney). Mary was the daughter of Michael Morrissey & JoAnn O'Neill. mary had also been married to James A. Hayes on 4/30/1901. Since she married Michael McMahon on 10/3/1863, I'm guessing this is why she was buried with him. I'd be happy to help you research, if you'd like some help. :)

Thank you very much! (She's even my family & I missed that!) The edit request was greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Glad I was able to find their burial places and get pictures for you. If there were obituaries published maybe they could give you more info about them, or possibly their death certificates.

You are welcome. Glad I could help. They were the only ones with the surname Stephenson in that area. I think, including them, there are only 4 listed by that surname interred there.
Have a great rest of the week.

I don't know why I stated a father of Joseph. Should be Walter and Sue Woomer. I have added same to the cemetery and linked Glenn to them. Sorry for causing confusion. Should be all straight now. Thanks for calling attention.

Sorry it's taken me so long to fill your requests. The day you sent your message and made the requests, I was on my way out of town, and wasn't able to complete them. I'm back home now, and went to the cemetery this morning to photograph all of the Hoge markers.
|Karen Beenblossom Bree||Perry (Hazel?) Shirley Hoge|
I went to fulfill your request today for a photo of the marker for Perry Shirley Hoge. The cemetery records/map show the name as Perry Shirley Hoge; however, the marker says Hazel Shirley Hoge, located exactly where expected. There is also a Find A Grave memorial for Hazel Shirley Hoge, with a photo of the marker already posted. There are two other Hoges, William Perry and Clella Shrader, in another part of the cemetery, also already photographed. Could Perry Shirley and Hazel Shirley be the same child? Cemetery records show birth/death dates as 1/1/1924-8/29/1929.
If you would like me to send you the photos I took of Hazel Shirley Hoge marker today, I'd be happy to send them to you. I took one wider shot so you could see what the area looks like.

Hi - it's no bother at all! Glad to help. I wish someone had added his name to the monument, but maybe they didn't have the money to do so at the time.

This is a very sweet message to receive. Thank you. I feel guilty that my time is very limited and I haven't had time to work on getting this project finished. But I plan to devote more time in the near future, especially taking the pictures which is my favorite part.
