Thanks for the clarification on his wives. You know so much. If you want me to transfer to you I will. My Crail ancestry is far removed from this Thomas Crail. Just let me know. sincerely, kcv

|Keenan Glidewell Barker||RE: Maxey Cemetery|
Do you have contact information for the Ralls family that owns the property?
It's become a quest to satisfy my curiosity more than anything! :-) But, yes, Mary Ann Gaunce Smith is an ancestor. I'm sure the marker is long gone. When I was there 30 years ago, I only noted a few markers in my notes that we found.

Do you have any information on where the Maxey Cemetery is located in Grundy County, MO? I see you have posted photos, but also see they were photos taken in 1992. I was at the cemetery about 30 years ago, with grandfather, great aunts & great uncles. Unfortunately, they are all gone now, and I don't remember exactly where it is. I've tried a couple times to find it, but to no avail. I'm concerned it's been destroyed. If you have any information to share, I would appreciate it.

|kt jones||Lydia F Kurtz|
I think this would be Lydia F Smith married to William Kurtz.
Children: Alice Kurtz (Poland), Eliza Kurtz (Stratton), Ernest W. Kurtz and Carrie Kurtz (Button).
The dates I have for Lydia are 1845 New York and also Stark, Ohio.
Date for William is 1834, Ohio and 1919 Wisconsin.
Information is from Ancestry.
Now what do I do?

Certainly, I have transferred Washington's memorial to you. Thank you also for sending his obituary notice to me. It is an absolutely amazing source of information on him. I wish that every obituary could be so detailed!
