I am willing to help with photos or other information. If you need corrections, please contact me.|
Or, if I have a memorial and I am not related to the person I will gladly transfer it to a family member of the person. I find great pleasure in placing the memorial in the hands of their family. So, If you are related please just let me know.
My home state now is Georgia, but I will always have Texas in my heart.

Ann you have nothing to feel sorry about. You did not create a duplicate memorial. When you added your memorial, months later in ancestry.com sent a hent to the other person. The other person did not know where the person was burried. After receiving the hint she corrected her memorial with your burial place. Thus creating a duplicate. You should be given the credit of placing the memorial in the correct burial place. Have a blessed day!

Your help would be appreciated. Thank you for answering me. You will have to ask them to give them back to you, then you will need to delete them. This is part of the problem, is getting them back once they are transferred. I have asked findagrave to combine them as one page, so we don't loose any of the information or the flowers/notes. Please always check for a page already in place - it saves a lot of work on others part trying to undo the damage. I had written to each of the ones your transferred them to, several times trying to get them to delete the pages with no answer. Thank you again for your cooperation. I

I have just written to findagrave asking them to straighten out memorials that you have duplicated of mine. These are ancestors of mine. They were added several years before you duplicated them and this is a small cemetery, so there is no way you could not see they were there.
There are three of them that I found, Abel Ansley, Sr. Thomas Ansley, Sr. and Samuel B. Reddish. You then transferred them to another person, which really complicates things. Please, please do not duplicate - this is a findagrave rule. There can only be one memorial per person because of the linking process. If a person is already listed, and/or maybe something is off slightly, please send a correction - please do not duplicate for any reason. Thank you.

Yes - Danny, Chris and Charlotte are my first cousins. Chris, Charlotte and their dad Claud have all passed away. Danny lives in Las Vegas with his wife and son where he has a business.

Thank you so much for the reply! I saw on google maps the neighborhood they are building but I believe the graves were between where they are building and the clearing closer to Wrightsboro Road ,but close to Old Appling. The vacant house on the right was my grandmother's home where I spent every summer growing up. I have so many memories in that home. She always told me about the graves in the woods that she knew were there from many years ago. I remember finding them but never remembered what the markers said, if anything. I will ask my mother if she remembers anything about them too as she grew up in that house.

First, thank you for adding my grandmother, Marian C Connell from Powell Baptist Church cemetery in Harlem, GA.
I spent a lot of time in the woods around that area growing up and remember coming across a few graves in the woods that were not marked very well. I also remember they looked like they had been looted at some point as well but always wondered who they were. It is not a marked cemetary and I remember it only being 2 or 3 markers. I wondered if you knew anything about it or knew if it was still there since you were in that area. If you google this address, it was in the woods here on the west side of the highway. "1488 Old Appling Harlem Hwy, Harlem, Ga" Have you heard of it?
Thanks for the Thornton family transfer. I fixed the link (On little space in the wrong place!). Thanks again for helping me connect the families. Much appreciated!
