I'LL BE AWAY FROM FINDAGRAVE DECEMBER 5th THRU DECEMBER 21 !|
"Those who spend their time looking for the faults in others, Usually make no time to correct their own."
Missing my son, Mark Allen Israels. II.
November 20, 1988
July 6, 2012
Losing a child is the most horrific pain one will ever feel.
The "Hillside Cemetery" in Reno was my motivation for Find A Grave. I had been a resident of Reno for 20 years before I knew of its existence. I finally found where the Hillside Cemetery was located and when I went there I was so appalled, outraged and shocked at the condition of the final resting place for many of Washoe County's finest citizens.
I started researching the cemetery online and found a survey prepared by Dolores Samuels Young and Mildred Chandler Pressell, back in 1955. Thank God, these ladies took the time to record all of the headstones that were legible at that time. Without their survey who knows how many people would have been forgotten.
I try everyday to find some little piece of information for the people buried in the Hillside Cemetery.
I try to post all information I find on a person, I believe it's sharing not stealing, especially if I take the time to research the information I find. Not everybody has the means to find the same information. I hate to think that a picture I found in a yearbook, or in a library and didn't share might have been a relative's only chance of seeing it. I'm forever grateful to others who shared pictures of my family with me. I also post obituaries especially from the 1800's. I think people like to see them. With that being said, I hope you see me as a contributor who wants to help in every way possible.
May God bless you and keep you safe in his loving arms.
Please be honest with me, if I entered a memorial and it was a family member of yours I am so willing and understanding to transfer them to you, but, please don't send me messages telling me I duplicated the memorial that you entered when it clearly shows that I entered mine in 2007 and you entered yours in 2010. Just say hey when I first started on Find A Grave I didn't realize you could transfer memorials over and I wanted to be the owner so I duplicated the memorial. It's not about numbers so I would've gladly transferred ownership over. But, don't try to be dishonest about it. I am always willing to transfer family.

I was wondering if it was possible to take a photograph of the cemetery, entrance etc? I was up there during the summer and couldn't find the cemetery. Thank you!

You transferred this memorial to me a while back. I have been researching anyone with that name, or anything close to it, who might have lived or died in Jarbidge, NV. I find no record of any sort.
Do you know of any source of information that might indicate he was buried there?
If not, I'd suggest You delete the memorial. I can't delete it because I was not the original creator.

Thank you. Will do. (You can't please all the people all the time). I'm just tickled though. Thank you and so long special person.

Oh yes!Thank you so much. I hope you don't mind: I copied it out and gave the copy to my mother. It didn't cause hurt at all. She never knew one existed, and when I tried to put it on a memory stick and then forgot to update to the one with the certificate after I had told her about the certificate being on there, she was sad I had forgot to update so she could see it. She didn't have a pity party, but wondered if I could bring it another time. So Thursday night I dropped her off the printed copy. She was very thankful. There is so much more, but I'll stop here.
The pictures were ones my sister printed for my mother and I and I am unsure where she got them from (some relatives visit cemeteries and take pictures). After my mother shared about me having this brother (probably around 2009, but after 2002 for sure) then my sister shared the pictures. I had asked my mother where it was that my sister and I were in the old desoto alone feeding toilet paper out the window into the wind (for even though I was 1 or 2 I remembered this). Then she shared that it was as they were traveling/moving and she went into labor. They knew no one at that place and in those days you told children to stay and they did. Desperate times called for desperate measures.
Special thank you for adding my brother's death certificate. My mother never had seen it. How kind of you.
I did a little bit of research and allowed myself to add the date of death of Stella Campbell whose memorial you created back in 2006. According to information given by Tonopah Daily Bonanza, Stella Campbell died on early morning of August 4, 1909 in Tonopah.
I'll keep researching and adding this kind of information to memorials that you created in Tonopah Cemetery.

I hoping that you may give me the person's name that submitted the photos of Edward Everett Radcliff so that I may contact them. He was married to my husband's aunt, Thelma Gilbert. Thanks for your time.

This would be my Mother's (Luz Catalina Ayala)older brother. I am requesting any & all documents/pictures you may have.
Thank you again! May God Continue To Bless You.
|Maria Young (Modesto)||Luz Ayala|
My name is Maria Young and I live in Reno, NV. My mother passed away in September 2016, her name was Luz Catalina Ayala. After doing some research and inputting my Mother's name "Luz Ayala" without her middle name, her older sister came up! I am requesting any & all documents/pictures you may have as I am wanting to find my family.
|possibly lee||Dear One,|
Thank you for adding my brothers death certificate. After reading your information I am sad for your loss. I didn't even know I had "lost" another brother until late in my adult life. God is still good.
