You must purchase a deed of land to be buried. Funny, even to die you are required to own property.

Lost at sea at my Virtual cemetery. Stop by and offer a life vest, well okay, a flower of compassion.

Hazelwood Cemetery, Springfield, MO. My sources are many besides my wandering through the cemetery. MO. Death Certificates on-line, Greene County Missouri Cemeteries Vol IX 3 book series Hazelwood Cemetery by Ozarks Genealogical Society. Walking and photographing of the stones. Constant in touch with the staff at the cemetery to find information. To those helped thanks for the letting me know. Thanks to those that have furnished corrections, or the added information that would help.

Grace E. (Peer) (Noffsinger) Crow (1880-1972
First, thanks for your work on

Today I sorted out the confusion on her burial location and am posting this identical message to both maintainers of findagrave memorials in hopes of clarifying the situation.

Grace E. Peer, born AUG 1880 married first on 4 DEC 1901 Mathew Newton Noffsinger at Cedar County, MO, and had one child who survived, Dr. Francis Lee NOffisinger (1902-1977). Mathew Noffsinger died 20 FEB 1923 and Grace remarried on 7 DEC 1924 Calvin Scott Crow at Barton County, MO. Although her name and birth year are inscribed on Mathew Noffsinger's headstone (memorial # 86840709), she is in fact buried with her second husband at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield, memorial # 33306547.

The first marriage is documented in the book "A Genealogy of the Descendants of Rev. Jacob Price" by George F. P. Wanger, 1926, p.550. The second is in the online Missouri marriages on

Thanks again for the work to maintain these memorials.
