"I will show you fear in a handful of dust." T.S. Eliot|
We are not so much afraid of dying, as we are of no one remembering we existed at all.
We only walk this earth because of the people before us. Every name is a memory to a life, not just a branch in a tree. Sometimes all that echoes through time is a name, a date, a relationship, a headstone. But bringing those things together here is remembering the person who lived, and I am proud to be a part of this community of volunteers who spend their free time to send the message "you have not been forgotten"
Still active as of November 2014. If you have any information to add to any memorials I have created please let me know but use the EDIT- SUGGEST A CORRECTION feature. Please also use this feature when inquiring about a specific memorial, the comments section below is not helpful in directing me with a link to see what you are talking about.
PROCESSING EDITS: I know about the feature, but I don't blindly click all. Have patience, I will get to it, but I do check- I will also look for an obituary for you if its here in Oregon. So have patience, check back when you get the email, it might be worth a look.
DO YOU KNOW? Find A Grave will automatically process all untouched edits after 3 weeks. Yep. that contributor who's been ignoring your requests for years didn't just finally get with the program.
DO YOU KNOW? if you mess up a submission you can go to your own edits page, use the drop down menu to find edits you have submitted, find the edit you did and delete and redo if it hasn't been processed. Pretty Nifty if you ask me. Edits on Find A Grave are finally happening and they have fixed some of the flaws from the initial launch.
PHOTOS: I took the photo to help you! If you would like any of the photos I have taken for your own family tree, you are welcome to them. If its a family photo I added though, please contact me! I don't mind sharing, I have a public tree on ancestry.com that I will give you directions to for more photos (if I have them). Our ancestors should be remembered by all who want to preserve a piece of who they were. My collection is the work of many who believed in saving photos of cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents they never knew and then taking the time to share them with me. As we pass through this world, I feel better knowing my ancestors wont disappear and pictures forgotten if multiple people from all over have the key.

Please disregard previous message. Mary's mother's name was Castle, father Griffith. I was not paying attention here -- sorry.

Can you please delete your memorial for A Duel 93262877 as it is a duplicate of Abraham Dull 31369242 who is actually buried there.

He appears to have two crypts, one in Camellia Corridor and the one pictured on the memorial page you created. See my photos.
Just a guess, but since RA has placed a flag on his marker indicating his status as a vet (probably WW I), it seems likely they consider the Camellia crypt to be the active one.
I'll check and hopefully achieve some clarity.

Do you happen to have, or have access to, the obituary for memorial 93269744? This is my family, and I am trying to determine how Thomas had two children born in the same year, but a few months apart. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

Thank you for the transfer and all your work on Find A Grave.

Rose is my husband's grandmother. I would love to manage her memorial if you would please transfer to me. You may call me if need be.
|Teresa Arcangel||Hiram Joy|
At Mountain View Cemetery in Clackamas Co. Oregon, you have a Hiriam Joy. His name, Hiram, is misspelled making him hard to search for.
Hi, Erin. I am new to all this, and I saw you message on Martha Wilson Clemmer's memorial (107303567). It seems she was my great-great-great-great grandmother as well through her daughter Eliza. I didn't know if your public tree on ancestry would have anything in that branch that might help me or not. If it does, please let me know. Thanks!
