We became interested in the Findagrave site a couple of years ago when I was searching for my grandfather's grave. I knew approximately where he was buried but I had no memory of ever seeing his grave, as he died many years before I was born. We came across Findagrave and I found exactly what I was looking for… and much more! Since that time, graving has become a hobby for both of us.

This is a great website and a great way to preserve (and learn about) some of our family history! My wife has a passion for the older tombstones that seem to be forgotten. This interest was sparked by her grandmother and the many walks and conversations that the two of them had in the old cemeteries in Northwestern Tennessee where many ancestors were buried. The search still continues for a great-grandmother, LuLu (Lou?) Mefford Pettit who died in Clermont Co. Ohio about 1906. Her approximate age was 32 years.

We are certainly glad to share, add, or correct any family information that we have posted on this website. It is our hope that this website will continue to grow and provide historical family information for all... information which might not be otherwise available.
