I am a mother of 6 adult children, Grandmother of 17 and Great-Grandmother of 8. In Jan 2009 I lost my husband (my best friend) to a battle with lung cancer. I enjoy genealogy, and visiting cemeteries for photo requests. I live in LaGrange County, Indiana. My ancestors include: Cripe, Lohrei, Zook, Yoder, Hartsough, Tully, Saggars, and Fickwiler. My husband's ancestors include: Turner, Houser, Parker, Zimmerman, Troyer, and Hostetler.|

Thank you very much! I am working on a family history for the Illinois Mennonite Historical & Genealogical Society quarterly. This isn't an emergency, so please wait for a nice day! Actually, after Polly's death Eli remarried and had several more children. The family lived in Illinois, Ohio and Michigan and Eli, who had heart trouble, passed away in Michigan in 1929. He is buried in North Star Cemetery, Gratoit County, Michigan. His second wife (my great-grandmother) Amanda lived until 1971 and is buried in Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery. Thanks again!

Am wondering if it would be possible to get a picture of the marker for Matilda Miller. There's no birth or death dates listed on this site, but it was actually 4 MAR 1896-17 FEB 1899. She was the daughter of Eli and Polly Miller, so the marker may be close to Polly's marker (1874-1903) or that of Eli and Polly's son Moses Miller (17 NOV 1901-30 NOV 1902).
Thank you very much!

Thanks for the photos!

Why did the seven children take on the step father's surname? I have never seen that.
Mary Athay #129955991
Jane Gibson Saggars was the second wife of Samuel Athay. Jane was married to Jacob Saggars 9 Mar 1855 in Warren County, Illinois and Jacob died in 1871 in Ford County, Illinois. Jacob and Jane had 7 children.
She then married Samuel Athay 2 Mar 1876 in Peoria County, Illinois. They had no children together.
Jane Athay is my great great grandmother. Her son Jacob Kendall Saggars was my great grandfather and I lived with him for 2 years prior to his death in 1947 in LaGrange County, Indiana.
Is this Jane Gibson Athay? - Trying to put you in the line-up? Cousin, Wendy
PS Thank you so much for clarifying! I have corrected this on ancestry.com; and, I see that you corrected it on findagrave.com.

Feel free to copy and paste those for Jacob E. I still have the single photo for Chaucy. I will add that now. Ty.

I am sending you a reply on your personal email. I hope you might look at it when you have time.

I'm sorry about the confusion. I was merely listing the sources of the edits I already made. Hopefully, you received email notices of those edits as well.
|Rudy's Granddaughter||Lydia Zook|
Thank you so much for taking Lydia Zook's photo for me. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out who she was. She must have had a second marriage. I am sure I will figure it out and be very happy that her picture is already available. Thanks again.
