A HUGE thank you to folks who provide information to verify the "edits" they send.
I am currently working on recording Beechmount Cemetery, Edmonton. It is a work in progress and will take quite a while to complete. Please be patient.
I do have photos of most all of the markers that I have transcribed from Canadian Cemeteries. So please ask.
To request a transfer or edit information please use the EDIT tab at the top right of the person's page, check the drop down menu for options. Please include sources (documentation) when requesting Edits. DO NOT USE THE PUBLIC MESSAGE BOARD TO MAKE REQUESTS.
Please remember to include the memorial page number and your membership number when asking for information about an entry I have made. It makes it sooooo much easier for me to find the person you are asking about.
If you would like me to remove a memorial please let me know and I shall remove it right away - no questions asked.
Because of the few RUDE people demanding I transfer pages to them, I shall no longer make transfers unless you are polite AND can explain to me how the person is related to you.
However, as FaGer Scott wrote :- If there is any particular entry that I have made that is very important to you, related or not, if you sponsor their page I will transfer it to you ASAP. This helps Find a Grave and shows me that this entry truly is important to you and that you are not simply trying to 'collect' all you can find of a particular surname.
Should you find that I have inadvertently duplicated an entry or photo please let me know, I will remedy the situation as soon as possible.
Found on another member's profile:-
If you add a headstone photo to a memorial that is SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than mine (FAG rules), please let me know so I can delete mine. Note: FAG advises "close-ups of portions of the headstone are not necessary if the information is clearly visible in the main photo.
Having Lyme Disease I need less stress in my life and need "gentle exercise" I find taking photos for Find A Grave gets me the fresh air, exercise and the tranquility I need in the summer months and uploading the information exercises my mind in winter.

Thank you so much for making the correction I requested - and so fast! I really appreciate it. I too wish folks did their homework before asking for edits.

It's so nice when people like yourself take the trouble to say thank you.
I am working my way around my local area and am now up to a radius of about about 25 miles.

I have no documents. I get my additions to memorials from the memorial itself, or from relatives bio info.

I am so glad that you are like I am. I have helped many people and have received little back. So when I do I am in shock! Thank you for all your help!!
But thank you is just not enough to say

Thanks... I understand your concerns about accuracy.

I am most comfortable with the old site, but have dabbled in the new one in the expectation the old one will at some point be terminated. I note that I can read what I sent to you by looking at your page on the old site, but cannot yet figure out how to see what I sent to you on the new site.
Interesting comment you have on photos. I have seen photos duplicate, occasionally, when uploaded by cel phone, recently. It is the malicious nature of inanimate things.

Duplicated Memorial. Since your record had more info I deleted mine. I added the photo I had on mine to yours

Just a close guess. I figure when someone searches, a date is better than nothing.

Hi again Alison
I know exactly what you mean. I came across several Ancestory Hints about one of my ancestors and they all had her date of birth 40 years before she died. I spent a whole evening reading through Census returns and working out parents, children, grandchildren to find that rather than dying in her 50's she was sharing a house in 1911 with her sister and she was 90 years old at the time of the census. I've messaged all the people in Ancestry who have hints for her and explained why the date of death is wrong ... I know it'll involve a lot of people having to tear up part of their tree but it's necessary to show the correct ancestors.
