Greetings enthusiasts! A librarian by trade, I love research and genealogy. I am mostly interested in the Keller and Klevorn families (my mother's maiden name is Klevorn). As I come upon other people of interest, I add them also.|
Currently I am working on a project to document the final resting places of Religious of the Sacred Heart (RSCJ), in the US, Canada, England, New Zealand, Ireland, Scotland and Australia. If you have any information regarding these Sisters I would be happy to hear from you.
I am of the opinion that cemeteries are places to honor and remember the dead; they are also places of healing and forgiveness. Our faith tells us that individuals who die in God's grace are part of the "Communion of Saints" -- to this end we need to approach this work with much reverence.
Fidelium animę, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.
All ye, who would honor
The saints and their Head,
To pray for the dead;
And they in return,
From their misery freed,
To you will be friends
In the hour of need.

Please take a look at my Arabella Smith. I'm sure she's the same as your Arabella Smith.
Although she's not actually an RSCJ, do you want me to transfer her to you?

You are very welcome. Glad I could be helpful.

Thanks for letting me know about the Leigh family, Steve. You've been busy here! I very much enjoyed reading your memorials for the Willson family and brothers at Ampleforth Abbey, as well.

Thanks for the much needed encouragement.
I am hoping that the Sisters of the Religious of the Sacred Heart can help me get into the Pearly Gates! I need all the help I can get! Ha! Ha!
No. Not the whole family. I know of her sister Elizabeth Drexel Smith, her husband, his little sisters.
Now the family is buried together at the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament Cemetery, Bensalem, Bucks County, Pa., which is the Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, and is right around the corner from Eden Hall.
It is closing by the end of the year, and the property being sold. Saint Katharine's remains will be moved to the Basilica SS Peter and Paul, Philadelphia.

No, I was not a student. I learned about Eden Hall while researching Saint Katharine Drexel and the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament, also from Torresdale. Some of the Drexel family were originally buried in Eden Hall Cemetery.

You are welcome. She is the Aunt, or rather "Step" Aunt of Saint Katharine Drexel.

Thank you so much Steven Keller for getting this photo of our families headstone. I had joined several groups in the area of the Mt Hope cemetery with hopes of finding any information other than what I have in my files presently. I am so appreciative of this, and I thank you so much, Karen Knabe
