Bio Photo Retired and loving it.

Have been working on my family tree for about 15 years now and have more time since I retired.

I find it interesting to go to the cemeteries for headstone pictures whether for myself or for posting for others,

I'm researching many names. Top of the list are Burk and Hintz. Others are Schoneman, Kuechenmeister, Herrmann, Stenzel, Meitz, Schurig, Eschenburg, Stroup, Pringtz, Kuehn, Endres and Burkhart. Most of these are from Macomb and St. Clair counties in Michigan.

If I have posted a relative of yours and you would like me transfer them to you or any corrections are needed on the postings please let me know.

Glad the memorials are finally starting to reflect correct information after my repeated attempts to have you add the info since 2012. I've spoken with Juanita on the phone once several years ago when I still lived in Orlando, and she of course knows my side of the family. Maybe you should speak with her more.

RE: Barfield
I know Jim, I have emailed you before. Daisy Mathis was my great grandmother, the wife of my great grandfather John James Barfield.

such a nice clear photo
Hi Jim,
I wish to express my appreciation for such a nice clear photo that you have placed on my paternal Uncle's memorial, Harold L. Sorenson # 125249386.
Would you be the person I contact to request permission so that I may place that image on our Ancestry tree?
Wasn't sure of the process, since I usually have created my own memorials for family or friends to date. I have also sent a similar inquiry to Harold's memorial creater Joann Geybals, if I also may need her permission? Not quite sure. All advice is welcome!
Once again a very kind "thank you" for all you do!

J.S. Barfield
Hi Jim, hope all is well....I wanted to let you know that I saw the listings you have on the Find A Grave website, and though you have the correct John J Barfield marker, I believe the J.S. Barfield marker you show is not the father of John J as you have listed. According to the records I have, John J's father was a J.S. (John S) but I have that he was born in Kershaw in 1854 and died in 1928 in Kershaw...and was married to Ella McCrady (1861-1928). My wife and I are planning a trip out there sometime soon and hope to get some more pictures from one of my dad's cousins out there. My dad has a painting of John J Barfield, who was shot for repeatedly "borrowing" a guy's boat. He cleared the man before he died (a couple of days later), admitting that he had taken his boat. He loooked alot my dad's uncle John.
