I am a contributor because no one should ever be forgotten. I, also, have a passion for discovering information about my family history and Find-a-Grave has helped solve mysteries in my own family history search so paying it forward seems the only right thing to do. Occasionally, curiosity and love of history will result in extra information added to the memorial. Most of the detail will come from old census documents or obituaries or newspaper searches. If you ever see something documented that is incorrect, please send a note and it will be corrected...but be kind when you do it. I go out and take WAY more pictures for your memorials than for the ones I personally established and unless you have done this in the Texas heat with a temperature that feels realistically close to what hell must feel like...as mosquitos bite you and stickers poke you, while attempting to remove the grass and dirt that has overtaken the gravestone so you can get the marker detail...at the same time listening for a rattlesnake near by...unless you have and even if you have done this don't be rude.

Favorite inscriptions:

• Budded on earth to bloom in heaven.
• We were lovers from beginning to end.

• The sun goes down and gentle warmth still lingers on the land.
• The music stops and yet it lingers on in sweet refrain.
