Bio

I am a contributor because no one should ever be forgotten. I, also, have a passion for discovering information about my family history and Find-a-Grave has helped solve mysteries in my own family history search so paying it forward seems the only right thing to do. Occasionally, curiosity and love of history will result in extra information added to the memorial. Most of the detail will come from old census documents or obituaries or newspaper searches. If you ever see something documented that is incorrect, please send a note and it will be corrected...but be kind when you do it. I go out and take WAY more pictures for your memorials than for the ones I personally established and unless you have done this in the Texas heat with a temperature that feels realistically close to what hell must feel like...as mosquitos bite you and stickers poke you, while attempting to remove the grass and dirt that has overtaken the gravestone so you can get the marker detail...at the same time listening for a rattlesnake near by...unless you have and even if you have done this don't be rude.

Favorite inscriptions:

• We had it all. (This is my all-time favorite.)
• The tiny rosebud God picked to bloom in heaven.
• Budded on earth to bloom in heaven.
• We were lovers from beginning to end.
•I will go to my grave loving you.
• Closed are thy sweet eyes
from this world of pain
but we trust in God to meet thee again.
• In our arms three hours, in our hearts forever.
• How much of light,
how much of joy,
is buried with our darling boy.
• In the graveyard softly sleeping
Where the flowers gently wave
Lies the one we loved so deeply
In his lovely silent grave.
• He was a child of afflictions on Earth but now resting in the arms of Jesus where suffering is no more.
• Mama's greatest love.
• Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
• Remember man as you pass by, as you are now so once was I. So be prepared for death to follow me, as I am now soon you will be.
• A good guy to have along.
• Like a flower she passed away,
Destroyed in all her bloom.
She left this world and family
To moulder in the tomb.
• The tide recedes and leaves behind bright seashells on the sand.
• The sun goes down and gentle warmth still lingers on the land.
• The music stops and yet it lingers on in sweet refrain.
• For everything that passes something beautiful remains.
