Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Indianapolis, IN but was raised in southern Indiana. Cemeteries have been great tools in finding our ancestors. I love the Find A Grave site and have found many missing links here.

I try to take photos of older graves knowing that they are often destroyed by either the elements or sadly, vandalism. As I photograph graves, I always try to remember the life of the person buried there. If I have a memorial to your ancestor, please contact me for a transfer. I'll gladly do that even if they are a distant relative or just a friend as I know how important each name is in our own family trees and lives.

The easiest way to get a message to me is to choose one of my memorials and send an edit even if the message does not pertain to that memorial. If you include an emai, it is private and I will respond to your email.

I live close to Crown Hill cemetery and can take grave photos when I am able to get the time to get out. You can also reach me at:

James, I just posted a photo to your memorial, however, Summit Lawn owner told me he was been advised by a family member who places flowers on the Brann headstones..Abagail, Charles & William aren't buried in Summit Lawn. The family farm has headstones covered by brush, and they maybe buried there.

The Summit Lawn owner is trying to get permission to visit the cite, and determine if this is true.

I checked the Clay County Genealogical Society records, and their records confirm his death. However, there's no mention he's buried in Summit Lawn. Summit Lawn records have no mention of his burial. Where did you get his burial information?

Your memorial is a duplicate of Find A Grave#52439728. Please add your information to the earlier memorial dated May 16, 2010, and remove your memorial per Find A Grave guidelines.

Re: Herman Harry Salzmann
The memorial in question isn't a duplicate, it just had wrong surname. There were no Herman Salzmann in findagrave so I just corrected the last name on my memorial & connected him to his parents.

Samuel D. Pearman
Dear James,
Thank you for your suggestion, however Samuel has 2 headstones:
8353594 - Pisgah Cem in IN
35511963 - Lebanon Cem in MO

We are not sure which one his body lies in rest. Both memorials contain the same family links in hopes that there will not be any confusion as to his relations.
Respectfully, Angeles Oakes

Joseph Jackson
Weaver Cemetery - I did change Joseph Jackson's date of death to match the stone, however, added an explanation of his birth. I will need to check his will again, since it is dated 7 Nov. 1846 to see if that is a probate date or not.

I have a copy of the marriage certificate and it is signed on the 29th day of May 1867 and it states clearly Charles S. Newton as husband. Clay county marriage book 2 page 419. Census information states the last name being Newton for everyone in the household.
